15 minutes in and already 2 sidebars. For the legal eagles out there:

I watched a lot of the pre-trial hearings. Isn't all of the state's evidence approved and argued beforehand? If so,why all the sidebars about evidence? This happened last night with the Instant messages and at other times.

Ive noticed the same thing about long time friends. Seems as all of the friends around her were relatively new. And I agree about the "toy" things. You wonder if Caylee was just an accessory or another way to bring her attention. Ihhate to say that about a mother but the truth is Cindy is the one who really was meeting Caylee's needs. Casey didn't have a penny. And when she did, it was stolen and used for herself.

i think watching all the law shows is starting to confuse me on reality court.

i thought witnesses couldn't be in the court during testimony yet casey's mom and dad are sitting there.

if they keep recalling them he's hearing all the testimony and can change statements to refute or match other testimony.

or is that just something thats done on tv?

Normally, witnesses cannot be in the courtroom until after they testify and won't be called back again. but George and Cindy's lawyer filed a motion for them to be allowed in court for the whole trial, as Caylee's next of kin. Judge Perry is allowing it.

anyone know why they keep recalling witnesses?

teh father's been on twice so far and the ex is now on for a second time.

why dont' they ask all their questions the first time

I think I have figured out that the are following the timeline....so recalled witnesses are only testifying to whatever part of the timeline they are on.

I had wondered the same thing.

sorry to inturupt trial conversation for my own little SIDEBAR lol

ok - so here's my learned lesson of the day.

even text messages are saved not just what's put online.

i honestly thought texts were between the two phones unless a text was sent to an email account.

so is it an american thing or everywhere? i've actually never heard about calls from canadian land lines being tracked - you know you hear them talk about getting the "luds" from the phone to see who was called.

After listening to commentators, I am wondering about one thing. The prosecution is still trying this case as she lied about the nanny and trying to prove that she was lying, that the nanny didn't exist.

BUT, the defense changed that. She has now admitted the nanny was a lie and came out with the abuse and George aiding and abetting story. So shouldn't the prosecution change strategy? Seems like they are still trying to prove that which the defense has already conceded that it wasn't true.

Unless, the are just using this to show how good of a liar she really is?

Did that make sense?

Yes, I still think that have to show how much she lied to EVERYONE, and what she lied. There are tidbits of interesting comments here and there, like these text messages between her and Tony, that offer more insight into herself, IMHO.
