I think she can get a passport. Why would we dissuade felons from getting passports and leaving the country?

http://passportsonline.net/can-a-felon-get-a-passport.html

Yes they can get US Passports, but that does not mean the nation he wants to travel to will let him in. Go to www.travel.state.gov and find the nation he wants to go to. Most do not allow convicted felons in without a lot paperwork or if it all. Martha Stewart a rich powerful women cannot travel to many nations anymore because it neither can say people like Snoop Dogg for past criminal convictions. Even a simple DUI will ban you from Canada. Their rules, not ours.
I should mention I have lived abroad and travel a lot so you get to know the rules before you go.

Intersting..I never knew that.

Hopes this thread will die soon

Why would you care one way or the other if the thread dies or not?

If it bothers you that it's still alive, then just don't click on it.

I hope it stays alive as long as it needs to. It's a way for those who feel frustration regarding the verdict, to air their thouhts and feelings, in a peaceful manner.

I agree and I for one will continue to post JUST so it will stay alive! If there are those who do not like it there is a really simple way to combat that.....DON"T read it!

Someone posted that Yuri Melich was going to have a press conference today. Did that happen yet?

Thanks! Setting the DVR now since I won't be here. Very curious what he has to say. Maybe he is announcing the arrest of George Anthony and Roy Kronk as the murderers of Caylee. ;)

Did anyone watch Juror #11's (the jury foreman) interview with Greta VanSusteran last night? ... what did y'all think about what he had to say? ... I am surprised just how much suspicion he really held against GA ... it's just that, how could they be more suspicious of GA than CA, per se, since it was obvious that they were both being less than honest on certain subjects? ... but then again, Juror #11 did say that he was "excellent in judging people" due to his profession ... I don't know, but IMHO, I just feel that the defense and the jury used, and will continue to use, GA as their scapegoat ...

On a side note, I also didn't like the way Juror #11 kept using the word "decomp" in lieu of decomposition ... to me, it just made him sound a bit full of himself and that he thought he was "cool" or something ...

At this point, I don't think that any other jurors need to come forward ... now that they have had the opportunity - since being dismissed from sequestration - to listen, read & watch what others have been saying re: the case, evidence, etc., I don't necessarily believe that what they say now would have been exactly what they would have said, or were even thinking, on the day the verdict was read ... but it's all just my opinion ... :)

I agree with you here! At this point, the answers will be well thought out and they will be carefully choosing their words. They have read and heard what the public is saying , so I don't think we will really get their true thought process.

I agree with everything you said. I thought he was arrogant and had a know-it-all attitude throughout the whole interview. The "decomp" really bothered me too and I couldn't stand how he kept trying to "drirect" the interview when he kept saying things like "and this might lead you to more questions..." and "...but we can discuss that later".

Isn't he the PE teacher? How does that make him an expert at reading people? :confused3 Sounds like the were way too fixated on George the whole time and it caused them to have Casey blinders.

Anyone know if it's true they paid him $75K for the interview?

Has anything happened with the juror who was "shopping" his story for $50,000? I hope he has just fizzled, especially since we have heard from several others (for, I'm assuming, less than $50,000).

I really don't need to hear what the jurors think at all. They made a decision that was based more on what money could be made than what the evidence actually was. If they were "sick to their stomachs" they should have deliberated until they were confident with their decision and could deliver a verdict that would not make them "sick to their stomachs," regardless of what that verdict was. They should have owned their decision. They should have made a collective statement to the media (yes, for free!) immediately after saying this is the decision we came to with the evidence presented to us. None of this oh we were so sick, we wanted to convict we just couldn't, we couldn't connect the dots, we were so confused junk.

Can you watch WESH on the computer? Do you know if HLN is carrying it?
Can you post a link?

I have no idea is HLN is covering but Im going to assume they are. Check the first post.. The links there that carried the trial will probably carry the press conference.

Exactly. They had their chance after the trial. It would have been much more honest. Now it's just rehearsed B. S.

I can't figure out why a detective would have a press conference. If another arrest had been made in this case, I would assume the press would have been all over it before now since the press conference was announced yesterday. I wish I didn't have to walk out the door in 20 minutes.

Song about Casey--Contains swear words

Murderers To Millionaires [Casey Anthony Story] - Southpaw Da Don

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WfdpIRHmOk&feature=youtu.be

Everyone should listen to this and take the message to heart minus the curse words...

"The goal of this video is to make it go VIRAL!!! So that every media outlet just as they have picked up this horrible tragedy, picks up this song and plays it for the world to hear, edited or unedited!!! It is the only voice left for Caylee to speak out with!!! We will not stop until this song is talked about on shows like Nancy Grace, Bill Oreilly, Tosh.O, CNN, MSNBC, ECT ECT ECT until everyone has heard the message : NO MONEY AND NO PUBLICITY FOR CASEY ANTHONY!!!!"

The watching and listening of the jurors and the defense team does nothing but put money in their pockets. If everyone tunes them out they won't be getting a dime. At this point it doesn't matter what they say or do, we've formed our own opinions. Don't let them have another viewer.

I feel terrible for the hours put into this by Melich and others only to have been put through the ringer, it is a terrible injustice.

I'm sure he was paid and that sounds like a sum that might be accurate considering one of the other jurors who was not the foreman. If you don't give them the ratings these people will not be on the air.

I assume it's to try and save themselves given the uproar.... people have accused them of all sorts of things and shined a negative light on the entire department, perhaps they are trying to repair their image in the eyes of the general public, just a guess...

One hour until the press conference. This does not happen often after a trial! But, certainly this is an atypical case.

Guess the jurors didn't go with their gut. They chose the most far out conclusions presented to them. I am sick to my stomach too now, jury. I have not watched the jurors who have spoken. Agreed, who wants to hear what they have to say? I suppose it is good to know for prosecutors in future cases.

The OC sheriff's dept did drop the ball unfortunately in the search. Hopefully lessons learned there also.

Exactly. They had their chance after the trial. It would have been much more honest. Now it's just rehearsed.

I agree. They just quoted Juror # 11 as saying it was all speculation, and they found George to be very suspicious.

Okay, George was suspicious because he was "combative" (no doubt due to being accused of unspeakable actions). Well, what about CASEY's actions???

The jurors just need to stop talking. They make it worse everytime they talk, As they just said on tv, Casey is very narcissistic, and the jury verdict confirmed all of her narcissistic beliefs in herself. She now views herself as a vindicated victim.

I saw the interview, and it only reinforced my low opinion of the jury. Apparently, JB's opening statements really stuck with them, never mind the fact that absolutely no evidence came forth in the trial itself. So there is another example of the jury not following the law, that statements made by the lawyers in opening statements are not evidence.

I agree with you on his use of "decomp" over and over. It's like he was trying to convince us that he was a forensics expert. This jury seemed to put way too much thought into meaningless and unproven things that the defense threw out there, and ignore the important and scientific evidence that the prosecution presented. And it sounds like common sense was thrown out the window. :sad2:

I wish Greta would have asked him some tough questions, and not the softballs that she tossed at him.

I seriously think that the juror going on the cruise played a big part in their not deliberating longer. I don't know which juror it was, or what his/her vote was in the beginning, but I believe it had something to do with their making such a hasty decision, one that they are even admitting they weren't comfortable with. And now a killer will walk free because of it.
