I think what the jury missed here is the word, REASONABLE. Not convenient doubt, REASONABLE.
This is a very real possiblity.

As well as all the folks claiming that the State did not prove their case when 1) They have no idea what evidence was introduced and 2) barely watched the trial!
And who stays in jail for three years instead of admitting it was an accident?
As soon as she was in police custody, anybody she was afraid of could have been less of a threat, and she could have told the truth. Why wait three years?
This story isn't reasonable.
I think what the jury missed here is the word, REASONABLE. Not convenient or possible doubt, REASONABLE.
WARNING: I NEED TO VENT! I know most of you on here will understand. I will ignore those of you who don't because I am not in the mood and don't want to be banned.
I am SICK AND TIRED of reading that the prosecution didn't do their job. When the hell does Casey take any of the blame? This isn't TV, folks. The state doesn't have access to all the high tech gadgets you see on CSI. You want them to pull DNA out of their *** when there wasn't any thanks to Casey.
If Caylee really drowned accidentally, how about Casey picks up the phone and calls 9-11 like any normal mother would do so the prosecution wouldn't have to prove a thing. There wouldn't be a waste of tax payers money and the police wouldn't have to hunt down imaginary people. Why can't people blame Casey for not calling 9-11 for an accidental drowning?
The prosecution gets blamed because there wasn't enough evidence. Why isn't Casey getting blamed for the lack of evidence? Her attorney admits that things snowballed. Her attorney admits that Casey was present when Caylee died. Why did she stuff her baby in plastic bags and throw her out in the woods for animals to chew on, 100 degree temperatures to bake in, and hurricanes and flood waters that would wash away all the evidence? How is it the prosecutions fault? Where exactly did you want them to get the DNA evidence from? The car that Cindy detailed down to the floor boards? The cover up after cover up that lead to months upon months of searching for imaginary people? Why isn't Casey to blame for any of this?
Casey has never had to take personal responsibility for a single action in her 25 years of life and, once again, she won't have to take any responsibility for the death of her child.![]()

Sorry if people are so offended by your comments, but seriously, it's been said over and over again on this thread, and in the news, and at the trial, so it appears that those commenting who think the charges were otherwise, are missing it. So it does need to be said again. For the trillionth time there were lesser charges too.
Second Degree Murder
Aggravated Child Abuse
Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child
I'm starting to think maybe the jury missed this fact, as well. Everyone seems to think they only had one choice and one choice only. Why do people think that? Did the jury really understand what they were doing?
Well, it appears...and I certainly could be wrongAs well as all the folks claiming that the State did not prove their case when 1) They have no idea what evidence was introduced and 2) barely watched the trial!
Thanks for posting!Found an article in the Boston Herald about jury nullification, it has some very good points.
Sure does. This case is like a child murder manual. What this case shows---hide it and lie about it long enough and then you can make up whatever story you like.
Again the jury did not have to come up with an alternative cause of death in order to have reasonable doubt.
The one thing that bothers me about most of the arguments I hear is that people always ask why Casey didn't respond like a normal person. My thought is because SHE ISN"T NORMAL. Is she a spoiled brat? Seems like it. But, her behavior is way beyond that of a spoiled person. I really don't think we will ever understand what goes on in her mind because her thought process isn't like that of most people.
Thanks.I have stepped away from posting on these threads a few times. Now I need to even stop reading as I am quickly loosing respect for some posters I have had respect for.
MaryAnn-you have done a great job on keeping these threads "orderly".
Kurby-hope your little Nichole is home with you soon.
As I have said before, at the end of the day a little girl died.No matter how you twist it, she died while in the care of her "mother". And we should not be rewarding a monster for that.
Hi again! I thought I would share this video with you. I agree with her and she's so funny and so right.
