If the jury was thinking like alternate guy--I can see why they asked to see nothing.

Baez flung something (George) and it stuck.

Ashton is not a failure for it, though. George was not on trial. Casey was. Ashton, IMHO, did not screw up. He used what he had to work with. Why slam him?

The irony is those who hold the jury in high esteem for what they deem a correct verdict, SOME, believe George is involved without a shred of physical proof. That is the same standard they used to say Casey was not guilty.

IMHO, Jeff Ashton (who was not the lead attorney on this case), did a fantastic job on this case.
In closing arguments, however, he made one major misstep when he said: We can only hope that the chloroform was applied before the duct tape...
This hit home and reminded the jury of the fact that the Prosecution was only guessing as to how Caylee died. If they are going to accuse Caycee of murder, then they need to know, or at least think they know, how that murder occurred. Don't remind the jury that you're only guessing, for goodness sake!

That wasn't too hard to do with some only having an 11th grade education, one that doesn't like to judge, one or 2 that were abused, or had abused and one or 2 with their own legal run ins with the law. I don't know about you , but these aren't my peers.

well...wadecool might argue those are my peers :lmao:
But again, the jury represented a cross section of society...they were not all of limited education or had "histories"

I'm still floored by this agh, Scott Petterson got convicted and there was less evidence in his trial then this one

I am surprised that Scott Peterson is on death row right now. Although I do think he killed his wife. I don't know that I would have handed down a death sentence in that case - even though I am (for the most part) pro death penalty.

Im finding it harder to deal with folks who are hiding behind the "its our system" explanation to accept that a killer has gone free.

All I hear is that criminals have a right to be acquitted because there is no smoking gun. How did we ever convict anyone before DNA, video, audio and th like? Common sense people! A jury is there to judge and evaluate. To peruse the evidence, to really examine it,not sit on their butts and wait for the evidence to slap them in the face! After nearly 2 months of testimony, they reviewed the evidence in 10 hours? I call BS!
This! Explain how the can determine she lied but her lie was harmless????
Your opinion and unfortunately the opinion of the few people that mattered. Most of those people, I am of the opinion, weren't fit to be on the jury. To me and many others, he did prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she did murder her child. Just because 12 people said that he didn't prove his point, doesn't make it true, well legally it does and again unfortunately this is what we have to go on.

We thought the world was flat a long time ago, and I am sure people argued in agreement with this theory, didn't make it true either. Just as what you say, with such smugness, isn't necessarily true. Just because you are passionate, doesn't make you right.
Even LKB thought she would be found Guilty of a lesser included.

I already mentioned this, but I think based on what the blabber mouth alternate is saying they were discussing and deciding on this long before deliberations
what part of:

No "smugness"...just a simple observation of the facts. His "error" is that he failured to prove is arguement and thus lost the case]

ie either trash talk or requires "back up"...it is a statement of fact as shown by the action of a jury of the defendant's peers.

:lmao:

You are kidding.....right?

I heard that the Anthony's will not support Casey once she is out of prison.

Writing her off? Obviously, makes me wonder just how innocent they truly think she is. After all, if you believed your child were innocent, wouldn't you welcome them back with open, loving arms?

Ahhh ... but that's what happens when you tell lie after lie, your mommy perjures herself on the witness stand, and you throw your daddy and brother under the bus with molestation allegations.

Oh, Casey ... Karma's a witch and she's gonna get you x3.

Ashton, IMHO, did not screw up. He used what he had to work with. Why slam him?

how ever you look at it, the defense failed...for whatever cause one may feel comfortable believing.

Now that's funny...I was thinking the same about yours!

:rotfl:

The funniest part is that you're the one talking down to everyone else and their lack of legal knowledge, and yet here you are, just another regular Joe...

Hilarious! Keep trying though, it's entertaining at least...

Good point.

They proved that there was insuficient evidence to convince the jury to convict.

Oh BS

FACT:

Casey did NOT report the baby missing for 31 Days! She should have gotten convicted on this alone. It's called CHILD NEGLECT/ABUSE

84 searches on her home computer of the word Cholroform

Casey lied about the baby sitter. Claiming that is where Caylee was. LIAR! There was no babysitter. Why would she lie about this?

Partied the following day that Caylee was missing. What mother does that?

Decomposed body smell/order was in her car.

Same laundry bag Caylee was buried in was found in Casey's home.

Got a tatoo Bella Vita (Beautiful Life) a day after Caylee was missing

Went out shopping at Target and JCPenny a week after Caylee was missing. Far from disstressed about her missing baby

Lied on videotape at the jail cell when Cindy said there was a rumour that Caylee died in a drowning accident. Casey's reply? "Surprise, Surpise". This right there contradicts the defense!!

Never cried or seemed upset when the attorney was talking about her child's body. NO REACTION AT ALL!

Need I go on?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm not a regular joe....my name might be earl :lmao:
So you're saying you're not qualified to have an opinion?....

BaWHAhahahahahahaaaa!!!!!:rotfl2:

YOU are a comic GOD!!! :worship:

What If they came back in 10 hours with a guilty verdict? Would you cry BS then? How many pieces of evidence would you have needed to see again to declare her guilty? I am not trying to be confrontational, but I don't think you would have needed even one hour to come back with a guilty verdict.

Not me. If you go back and look at the poll from the last thread - you will see that I voted that the jury would deliberate for 33+ hours even though I completely thought they would bring a guilty verdict (2nd degree in my opinion) because I EXPECTED the jury to review the evidence.
