OK, let's say you leave your child in the care of a babysitter while you go away for a weekend to attend a wedding out of state or something.
You leave on a Friday, return on Sunday night.
Something happens to your child but the babysitter does not report it. You come home and find the child gone and the babysitter making up all kinds of excuses.
Fill in the rest of the story....
Bottom line if, no matter what happened to your child, no matter WHO did something, wouldn't you want the fact that the babysitter DID NOTHING to be a felony crime? One that will enbale the courts to give out a harsh punishment?
