Casey Anthony won't be sitting down with ABC .. NBC ... CBS or any other network for at least a couple of months -- TMZ has learned Casey will be seeking professional treatment for serious mental issues instead.

Sources close to Anthony tell us ... Casey is seeking treatment for three reasons:

First, Casey now realizes that her questionable behavior when her daughter Caylee went missing back in 2008 stemmed from "obvious mental health issues."

The second reason -- Casey still needs help coping with the "obvious trauma of losing her child."

Third, Casey spent nearly three years in solitary confinement in a Florida jail ... where she spent 23 hours a day in a 4x9 foot cell ... all while facing murder chargers. Our source, directly connected to Casey, tells us, "It messed with her head."

We're told Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, will continue to field offers on behalf of Casey ... and when she's healthy, Anthony will have the final word on where and how her story will be told.

They probably couldn't get the kind of $$$ they were hoping for, so now she's going to play the "I need help" card. Yeah, here's some help for you, Casey. . .:inserthambirggivingthebird: Nobody has any sympathy for you!!! You should have asked for help a long time ago. . .maybe before you duct taped Caylee and dumped her in the nearest swamp. Holy cannoli, now we are suppose to feel sorry for her!? I predict she is going to self destruct very quickly. I really almost don't care if she winds up with some money. I hope not, but if she does, it will just lead to her quicker demise. That TMZ link showing she enjoyed a nice beer? Keep it up; booze, sex, snorting. If I had it my way, within a year she'll have a nice raging heroine addiction!

Btw. . .Congrats, Kurby! Nicole is so. .. uh. . .pink and new and perfect! I can almost smell the new baby smell from the pics. I love that smell. . .and miss it too. They grow up so fast.

I agree. I guess they are comfortable in continuing the facade that George stole Caylee into the night, hence she was 'missing' since Casey didn't know where George put her. So, you know...the continued implication, Casey is innocent, not just 'not guilty'..its all about the other players in the script.

Casey was mentally ill before this all happened. She can spin it any way she wants to, her lawyer can spin it any way he wants to. There is no after the facts here. She was seen by 3 doctors who found NO, ZERO legal definitions of insanity. Next, we will be hearing that the drs were all in cahoots to get her found guilty and the death penalty because they were paid by someone George knew.

Great observation! All that is just code for: we couldn't get as much as we wanted for an interview due to public outrage, so we will have Casey lay low for a little while and hope the outrage dies down. Here's a news flash Jose, the outrage will never die down. I also agree with you that this is ultimately not going to end well for her. Let's just hope she doesn't get pregnant in the meantime, because it most certainly wouldn't end well for that baby.

I would be very surprised if she actually sees any doctors. She is so narcissistic that I'm sure she doesn't believe anything is wrong with her. I think the statement about her seeking professional help is just an attempt to try and rehabilitate her image. Which won't work, btw.

Sounds like a bunch of spin to me. They can't get anywhere with the way things stand and how she is perceived so they need a new angle. Guess they figure Casey, the reformed and repentant, might bring in the money.

They will trot her out claiming she is much better, cured and isn't a liar anymore. I can see through this ploy better than I can see through my windows.

YEAH if you keep 'em wanting it makes the buyer seem like he got a better deal. The mental illness thing was a stroke of genius to get her more money. NOW then they can get even more for the interview because if interviewers think she is mentally ill they can get her to put on an even better show.

I might have bought that story or at least given Casey a tiny bit of credit if Jose had released that information within 48 hours of her release. But it is impossible to buy that story when it is released the day after all the major networks said they wouldn't pay for any interviews and Jose has spent the last two weeks shopping her story to the highest bidder. I can hear Jose thinking, "Hmmmmm, can't get anyone to buy the story so lets pretend to get Casey some help and we will repackage the story as Casey 3.0 in a few months. Someone will buy her BS then."

She can visit all the dr's she wants the problem is she has to going to admit she did something to her daughter. If that is not being admitted then no rehabilitation can even begin to start. A good dr. will even tell her that. She knows what she was doing right from the start. It was logged in that so called diary dated 03. The phrase " Hoping she did the right thing". The jury let her walk but however that doesnt let her off the hook.
