Cases of water from resort store?

We've stayed at ASMu 2 times and they sold cases of Dasani in the resort store. This time staying at Coronado springs, do they have them there?

Yup. $6.99 for twenty-four 12oz bottles of Dasani.

As far as I know they do. We have purchased these at multiple resorts. I don't specifically remember for POFQ however.[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Why do you need to purchase water - is tap water not ok to drink there?

Oh I'm a big bottled water drinker. We always have water delivered or if we use a car service we stop at a grocery store on the way to the resort.

But the tap water is drinkable? No yucky taste or anything?

Here's a thread from disboards from 5 1/2 years ago. I know a lot of things can change at WDW in 5 years, but I highly doubt the tap water system is one of them.

From what they say, there's a bit of an off-taste to the Disney water, a sulfuric taste. It's safe, but the different mineral content in the water might cause some gastrointestinal issues the first couple days. Once your body gets used to the minerals, it's then up to your taste buds to say it's no longer tastes weird.

Thanks so much! On reading that thread, we might be alright, as some of our water comes from aquifers too. But I will be prepared to switch to bottled should the taste be too strange. Good to be prepared for everything!

I can drink the water in all the parks but MK.....like if we are at a TS or CS restaurant. It does not taste good nor does the ice in my opinion.

As far as the getting a cup of water, vs. Bringing a bottle:

The thing is, if your like me, you just like to have a bottle of water with you, while waiting in line, walking, etc., I drink it alot. Sure, you can get a cup of tap water, ok, but there's something to be said about having your own control over your water, lol

I am a Florida resident, and I don't like the taste of the water. At WDW, I will only drink bottled water or I bring a filtered water bottle to drink from. We were at MK last week, and I told DH that they give out free ice water at the quick serve counters, so lets stop buying expensive bottled water in the parks, because we never finish it. I don't carry my filtered water bottle to the parks. We each got a cup of ice water. YUCK, I had to force myself to finish it because it was so hot outside, I knew I needed the water. Never again, I'll go back to bottled water.

The cases were in the gift shops when I purchased them. I'm not sure if they are in the food courts - I think you can only buy individual bottles there.

Yes! I couldn't drink it at all. Had two sips and had to go buy water instead.

I've never seen cases of water - but likely will be looking to buy one at our Poly stay. Are they readily available or are they in the back and just need to ask the cashier for it? Also is Dasani the only brand they carry? I normally drink Poland Spring and would prefer that if there were choices

We do a food store stop with our car ride from MCO to our resort
We buy a case of water at the 30 minute food store stop (and some snacks)

They are readily available and only Dasani.
