I'm not sure if this problem is an isolated case, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Last August I decided to book with Cartier Towncar for our upcoming trip, 4/04. I read many good reviews on this board & had an easy time making the reservation & receiving my confirmation. I was told by David (and then by Ali in a follow up) that all was set.
Fast forward to last week.....I decided to reconfirm my reservation. I sent out an e-mail and the following day received a phone message that was very difficult to understand.....the woman spoke English poorly....she said something about not having a reservation for me? I immediately called back, only to get a voice mail after several rings. I left a message and waited. After a few days I called again, this time the woman who left the message answered the phone. She said that she couldn't find my reservation & that if I wanted to make a new one, I would have to call back later. WHAT??? She was very matter of fact, non-apologetic, no explanation offered as to why. I have decided to go with a different company because of this, if they lost my reservation once....with no explanation....who's to say they wouldn't lose another? Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just my luck :rolleyes: ?
 
Wow, I'm nervous now! We have Cartier scheduled to pick us up Monday morning and for some reason I have a bad feeling. I emailed them last week to reconfirm plus ask a few questions. First, I didn't get my usual speedy response although when they emailed me back two days later they had apologized. Second, not one of my questions were answered just a reply that "you're all set." Since then I've just had a bad feeling about this but it's just too late for us to change now. I guess I'm prepared for the worst (taxi) and hope for the best (great, timely service.)
 
We have used Cartier severl times, most recently in late December. They are great, decent, hard working folks. This is not a HUGE, megla limo company. They take a lot of pride in what they do and I know Kalim has slept in the car many nights at the airport waiting for guests who have been snow delayed. You may not always get an immediate response but they will be there. Kalim, Joe, Ali have all driven us. In December when the security alert was raised I was nervous and wanted to arrive at the airporte 3 hours TOO early for our return home. Kalim calmed me down, told me he had just been there and it was not as bad as I had anticipated.
Sara is a good woman who works hard to juggle all the schedules of us panicky tourists but she does handle it. Please give them the benefit of the doubt. As I said, we have used them 5 times now and will see them again April 2 and I have no worries.

I agree Qbush!! I have used Cartier many times and they have been wonderful. Sarah in the office is very pleasant and helpful. They are a small company, but they are very customer oriented.I will continue to use them and recommend. Any company can have a bad day, Even Disney;) ;)
 

I used them in September and was quite pleased with their service.
 
I'm sure you're both right and there is nothing I should worry about. I'm your typical over-planner and worry about every detail so it's good to hear the reassurances. I know when we used Cartier back in August/September they were great so I shouldn't be so worried. Thanks guys!
 
Well, now I'm thinking I'll give them another try. I'm glad to hear this isn't their usual, I'll give them a call Monday AM. Thanks for all the input!
 
Hi Ann! As promised, I wanted to let you know how our experience with Cartier went. First, we arrived earlier into MCO and I was a little nervous when someone was not there already waiting. After about 5 or 10 minutes someone came through baggage claim with a sign with our name. We only waited another 5 minutes for the towncar to come around. Bill, our driver, was so great...we couldn't have asked for better! He was funny and talked to us the entire ride.

On the way back our driver (didn't get his name) was early and dropped us back at our hotel in the airport. Very friendly.

The car was clean and comfortable. I will be booking them for every trip down to Orlando! Good luck and if you have any questions please feel free to ask! :sunny:
