We're planning on going in July...and planning on CA on a day that does not have EE. (a sat, which has EE at DL) So, my question is...is there any other form of entry that would allow someone else to be there at 7am, instead of just the normal 8am opening? If so, then we may adjust our schedule and go on a Friday for EE. Which do you think would be better?

Yes, both parks are going to have some sort of early entry every day of the week. The California park will have early entry for annual passholders on Sat, Sun, Tues, and Thurs, and early entry for resort hotel guests only on Mon, Wed, and Fri. Disneyland will have early entry for those with tickets that include an early entry and for resort hotel guests on Sat, Sun, Tues, and Thurs and for annual passholders on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

If I didn't have early entry and had to choose between a Saturday or Friday to start at the California park, I would pick the Friday.

Okay, apparently I haven't been paying attention. So since we have AP's AND are staying onsite, that means we can get EE EVERY day in both parks?

Does anyone know they will continue that into the fall/winter season?

And I wonder which EE's will be busier: the AP ones or the resort ones? I would assume the AP EE's would be busier since there are more AP holders than resort guests, right?

staying on site every day its offered i think
ap get two days in the summer one at each park
3dayhopper holders only get dl not dca offered. I think

For the AP early entry you have to pre-register online and you get only one early entry per park for the entire period between June 18 and September 13. Staying onsite is enough to get you early entry every day of the week though since Disneyland would be Tu, Th, Sa, Su and DCA would be M, W, F for resort hotel guests.

Disney has not announced anything about DCA early entry for dates after September 13.

I'm guessing DCA early entry will be less busy on the days for hotel guests than for the days with APs. The pre-registration is a limiting factor on the AP days, but Disney has not disclosed how many APs will be allowed in each morning. I'm thinking the hotel numbers will be smaller.

As for Disneyland, purely conjecture on my part, but I was speculating that the AP early entry days might be a little less busy than the regular early entry days. Regular early entry days at Disneyland will be resort hotel guests and multi-day ticket holders from anywhere. I also wonder if APs won't be as motivated in general to rush to Disneyland so early in the morning as they will for DCA.

Do all of the different levels of AP holders get 2 days to do EE?

The site does not give an AP level. Try it and see. :)

Special Event: Annual Passholder Early Entry

Annual Passholder Early Entry
To thank you for being a valued Annual Passholder, we have created Annual Passholder Early Entry.
Early entry admission gives you the chance to explore the newly expanded Disneyland Resort — including select attractions, stores and dining locations — one hour before the Park opens to the public.
Due to limited availability for the event each day, advance online registration is required.

i think that if you have ap you have paid enough you should all get ee every day but hay thats just me.

Thank you! That helps. We are going in November so I will keep an eye on what is available for us then. :)
