Carseat/Uber/Travel to parks help...

CARES only works on the plane, it is not for the car.

Something similar would be the Ride Safer Travel Vest though.

Sorry, yes. We've had both and I get the names mixed up. We've outgrown the plane one but the car one is still going strong.

This is a really good idea. Take Uber with your seats to a WDW resort that you may be interested in having dinner or looking around. Check the car seats with bell services there, bus/monorail/whatever to the park, then come back. I cannot fathom bell services saying no, as long as you're prepared to tip them, especially if you plan a meal at the resort.

Why would the bell services at any wdw resort take a car seat, or anything else, and store it for someone who is not a resort guest?

Then that means that anyone can walk in and have free storage of their belongings for the day as long as you tip them? I find this hard to believe and wouldn't count on it happening.

I doubt bell services will give it a second thought - I have never been asked if I am a guest of a resort when storing items. I suppose in a place like NY or LA they may be stricter but I would not think twice about doing this at WDW if I were prepared to tip at both ends.

I like that idea, I would not mind eating at one of the resorts either :) Would this work decently at one of the ones on the monorail? Its been a long time since I've been and gotten around... Heck, maybe I'd see if one of the character meals still had an opening.

My stroller does carry the carseat as well, but since my daughter is almost one she technically fits for saftey but it is not comfortable for riding around. So if I absolutly had to, I could just keep her in it all day, but I really don't want to. So i guess if I planned on using a locker and then they were sold out or it didn't fit, I could just carry it all day. A paranoid part of me is also worried someone might steal it. I mean, I know it doesn't happen a lot, but stroller stolen would be inconvenient and annoying, but carseat stolen would mess up the trip!

stolen would not be a problem if left at Bell Services at a resort. plus if you going to MK it would be easier to get taxi/Uber at the resort than TTC. yes monorail resort would work well and maybe get into character meal also. I would feel better leaving seat with Bell Services than in locker. doesn't happen often but with large item could pop locker door

Sorry, yeah, I meant I was worried about it getting stolen if I left it on the stroller at the park, since its easy to remove... I mean, its only a small worry, buuuuut.... no, bellhop would keep it safe :)

I am a car seat fanatic - I think uber to a monorail resort is a great idea.

we would recommend bell services at contemporary - that gives you the option to walk or monorail, this is even more attractive option if your stroller is a double stroller that you can stick both kids in for the 10 minute walk.

We have a bubblebum inflatable booster that we bought when my son was 5 that he and now my daughter use for travel. It's fantastic and does fit even little ones pretty well. The Mi-Fold is newer and we haven't tried it yet, but I don't think my kids would like it as much (not as comfy and not as high to see out the window) but it seems super easy to take to parks and beaches!

Good luck - I'm sure you will have a wonderful day! I have taken my kids at these ages to the parks a few times alone and they can be super fun days as long as you have the right attitude!

Thanks, yep, this seems like my tentative plan.... now my only wonder is if the parks will be too crowded to enjoy if we went for an afternoon, it'll be a Saturday... Maybe we'd do Animal Kingdom if the crowds would be lower, because we are only planning on day there.

The Mi-Fold does look great, but I checked it again and they want them to be 40 pounds and my 4 yr old is only 34 pounds -_- Shes tiny but tall.
