Hello all :)

I will be flying to San Diego next month with my daughter, who will be 8.5 months at that point. I've already purchased our tickets and she'll have her own seat so she can stay in her carseat. What is the best way to transport the carseat around the airports? I have a layover each direction, so I will have to manage baby, stroller, carseat, and carry on back pack in 4 different airports. If I could get some kind of cart to wheel the carseat behind me while I push the baby in the stroller (it's a real easy stroller to manage) it would work out great. She's in a Safety 1st Complete Air, if that makes any difference.

Thanks folks :)

I've done a couple of things. Sometimes I use a foldable luggage carrier with two wheels and a built in bungee cord to put the car seat on while in the airport. The carrier folds flat, so it can fit in the overhead bin. Other times, I put the car seat straight in the stroller. It looks goofy but it works. It's a Peg Perego Pliko. I took the sun hood off and put it in my suitcase, then I took the front bumper off. I placed my Britax roundabout right in the seat of the stroller. My son sat right in the carseat.

We have either put the car seat on the stroller or used this bag I got from Babies R Us. It has straps that my husband uses to carry it or wheels that I use to wheel it. We travel pretty frquently and it has held up well.

I've done two things - the first is what someone else suggested - buy a carseat bag from Babies R Us (or wherever) and just carry the bag as a backpack. I'm pretty short, though, so for me that was really awkward and not a good solution.
Instead, what I usually do now is put the carseat in the stroller and carry my DS in an Ergo. If you don't have some kind of baby sling/carrier/wrap you might consider it - I find it makes travel SO much easier to have my hands free while still carrying DS. You can wear the baby on your front, a backpack on your back, and still have two free hands.
