Cars Land Sh-Boom times

Just like on the movie, Cars, at sunset they start playing the song "Sh'Boom" from the movie and begin lighting up the whole Cars Land area. It's like being in a scene from the movie!

As a mom of two boys and having watched Cars at hundreds of times, this is one of my all time favorite things to see! =)

We've never managed to catch it, sadly. We're going in Nov/Dec, so it seems the best strategy is to check what the official sunset time is and be walking in Carsland at that time?

I'm a huge goober but I totally cried LOL. In my defense, it was an anniversary trip with just my DH and Cars was my (then 2 year old) daughter's favorite movie at the time. I got a bit sad she wasn't there

Cars is one of our favorite movies, too. So this was one of most memorable moments of our 2014 trip. My husband specifically requested that we try to catch it again on our trip next week.

Aim to be in CL a bit earlier than the official sunset time. We usually get there about 15 minutes early, grab a snack at the Cozy Cones, then find a good spot by Flo's. This way you'll be sure not to miss it.
