"Cars" gift shop at MGM

Does anyone know if there are any gift shops at MGM or any where else at the World that caters to "Cars" merchandise? My son is absolutely in love with the movie and wants all of the playsets. He has been saving his money since December for our trip and I keep trying to convince him that he will be able to buy them there, and therefore not blow all of his Disney money before we leave home! Thanks for any info!

not sure of at the parks, but if yo have a Disney Store near you they have a great line of toys/plush/clothes (along with Pirate stuff now too!)

Not sure about any stores at MGM, but I do know that the Walmart and Target by me has a lot "Cars" toys, clothes, lunchboxes, and so on.

On our June trip we saw some Cars things at the MGM gift shop by the Power Rangers Meet and Greet area. I bet they also have stuff at WOD and Once upon a Toy.

Honestly, If I were you I would pick up a playset or two if you see them locally. That can't keep them in the stores here, and I imagine they will still be a pretty hot item at Christmastime - especially if they release the movie on DVD then. Maybe you can have your DS do some extra chores around the house to pay for them.

We just got back from disney a few days ago and there were cars things to buy in almost every gift shop. The individual cars were the hardest thing to find but I did see them in the contemporary gift shop. Alot of what they have down there is what you can find around home in the stores. I did not see any exclusive things. Hope that helps!

There is probably no gift shop that exclusively handles Cars merchandise. Those shops only seem to be devoted to specific rides and Cars does not have one...yet. I'm sure that that you will be able to find the stuff everywhere in WDW. Disney does not miss an opportunity to sell merchandise especially when it's a hot item. BTW...how cool would it be if they turned the Tomorrowland Speedway into a Cars themed attraction. That ride is so overdue for a makeover!

Starting in October "Cars" merchandise will be literally taking over at least one asile at Target.

Cars merchandise is EVERYWHERE so you will not have a problem finding more than he could ever want! All 4 Theme Parks, Downtown Disney (Big display at Once Upon a Toy), and the resorts ALL have it!

Make sure that you do go to MGM to see Lightning & Mater - they were WAY cool!

As a father who has spent more on Cars stuff for his kid than a trip to Disney (well almost). I would suggest you get any of the playsets at home. Just because they are big and more money. If he has to buy something there. Go with a small diecast.

My kids are happier than a tornado in a trailer park about our August Disney trip. (If you've seen Cars...you know that line. )

My DH was looking at the match box cars and wanted some of the other characters. The CM told him to look at Target or Walmart since they sell the exact same things there.

I would buy the things at home and save his money for more "exclusive" things that he could only find in the parks. There was Cars merchandise all over, but is was basically the same couple of items.
