I was hoping to not have to bring a backpack to UO, and don’t want to lose a buttock carrying my wand in my back pocket- wizards have been know to do this.
Any suggestions?

Wand bag from one of the stores that sells wands. :) You can ask for a new one if you need it. I’m on my third one due to cramming it in the lockers.

My secret is I use the wand first thing in the morning. Then I buy something and send what I buy back to the hotel or to the front of the park for pick up later. I stick the wand in the bag and let it go back with my purchase.

There are also daily lockers at the front of the park you can rent to hold all your stuff. The parks aren’t so big that it would be an inconvenience to go back to the front and store the wand there. We sometimes get a locker for the day if we have a lot of stuff we need that day.

Other than those options, you are pretty much stuck carrying it around in a bag, backpack, or purse. There are free lockers at each ride, you can put it in while you ride.

Yes, because they are a loose item. No loose items are allowed on those rides, even in pockets. You definitely can’t carry anything on.

I don't have an answer for you other then to say not to trust one in an ordinary muggle plastic bag. They are not capable of containing the magical power of wands. I say this as someone who has chased a frantic 7 year old witch through every switch back in Kings Cross Station looking for a missing wand.

It is a tall, skinny gift bag that the store gives you your purchased wand in. A wand height skinny paper gift bag.

People sell wand holster type bags that attach to a belt on Etsy. If you can sew, or know someone who does, they're incredibly easy to make.

If perchance you are interested in one of the capes, they have a wand pocket, but they are fairly $$$. I've also seen folks wearing non-official capes, too.

We often only use the wands part of the day when we stay onsite.

I like this idea. If you can't/don't want to sew, you could even use fabric glue.

I just watched a YouTube video that showed one of the stores there actually sells a wand pouch that looks like it fits on a belt... too bad I won’t be wearing a belt :sad2:

I made a little pouch for my daughter to put hers in when not using it but she preferred just to carry it around and did not even use it / need it....lol...But you will have to put it in a locker for certain rides.

My wand actually chose me at Ollivander's. Suffice it to say I will not trust my baby wand to anyone but myself. We usually pick a day to bring it so that's the day the backpack comes into the parks. I bring it's box because my heart would be broken if the wand were... Broken.

"wand holster" that made me laugh out loud. Do they make a wand shoulder holster?

Shop of Wonders in IOA sells leather wand holders, like a holster for a wand, that clip onto whatever you want.
