Carrying Your Passes - How?

HI,
I carry our passes in my wallet. I do not let the kids have their passes to carry around.

I also have a "disney" wallet. The wallet I use everyday is large and would be cumbersome in my fanny pack...so I bought more of a billfold type wallet and only take the necessary items in it...my license, a credit or atm card, our passes, my Disney Club card and money.

For the water parks I bought a waterproof carrier that goes around my neck. I got that at Sports Authority.

I totally agree with not letting the kids carry their passes! I also have a problem putting anything long around my neck that doesn't break away (and I don't want my tickets breaking away!). I also have the water proof case and I'm slim enough that I can wear it on my waist by sliding it on and off (used at six flags not wdw). As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I wore one of those under garmet neck pouches in beige across my chest (over one shoulder, under one arm but, over my shirt like a purse). Was great because, it was like carrying nothing at all, practically weightless, and it would dry easily I'm sure. The only things I caried in it were my and my son passes, an SPF lip balm and a mini hand sanitizer bottle. It was easy not to have much on my person as we had a stroller and diaper bag hanging on the stroller.
Best Regards,
Amy

Been a AP holder for a long time. I agree with crzy4dsny - remove non-Disney excess from your wallet and stored your passes there. You only need them to get in the gate. You do not need to display them and I refuse to wear anything around my neck that could get caught on a ride and injure me. I wear an LLBean travel wallet ($15 - 10 years old) - a light-weight string-thing I use year round over my left shoulder. It is big enough for plane tickets, but folds and clips shut to be fairly small. I haven't used a purse in 10 years. I clip my subglasses case to the string.

Anyway, as we approach the gate, I hand out the passes - as we pass through that gate, I collect them and put them back in my wallet. We have never lost them or misplaced them. Simple, really. Now that my kids can go on their own, they keep them in their wallets as well.

I bought a small, cheap ($3.99) change purse at Target that had two zippered pockets. I kept our tickets (we had UPH, so these were room keys as well) in the outside zippered pocket. I kept my bills and (a little) change in the inside zippered compartment, along with my health insurance card. (Call me paranoid.)

I kept this change purse in a velcro pocket in my cargo shorts. I highly recommend cargo shorts with velcro pockets, as well as cheap small change purses.

It was helpful having a zippered pocket that *only* contained our tickets - I always knew where they were, and I didn't have to fumble around for them when we were getting fast passes.

try ebags.com Some stuff is sort of pricey, but they have some things that look like they'd last a number of trips. Look for free shipping specials - they have a lot of promotions if you have enough time to wait.

Also - under the travel section of ebay! Lot's of them under $5, some with free shipping.

Thanks for the tip about the Wal-Mart ID holders! I've been worried as my plastic ID holder needs to be replaced.

Since I'm the official ticket holder, here's what I do to keep the tickets (and room key) handy, but totally out of the way without having to wear it around my neck. I've got a couple of the old American Express lanyards that you used to recieve at check-in with the plastic sleeve for your tickets. I like these the best because they've got a snap to keep them together instead of the metal clip.

With the snap I can wear it as a belt, loop it around the belt loop closest to my pants pocket and keep the tickets in my pocket without ever having to worry that they will fall out. If I'm not in the mood to wear it as a belt, I just tie a square knot around a belt loop, again, the closest one to a pocket and keep the plastic sleeve with all our tickets in my pocket. You can do the same with any of the pin lanyards they sell at Disney. It makes it a totally hands free trip since I only use a small backpack and like to be hands free. Hope I described this correctly so it makes sense.

:D
