Hi

I am staying at the BCV in October for 5 nights. That is my first port of call. There is myself and my two boys aged 5 and 8. We will be coming from the airport and plan to stop off at Publix to get our food supplies etc.

I note that the parking seems quite far away. Do I pull up at the check in and luggage services take my cases, and bags of shopping? Or do they just take the cases and I carry the shopping from the parking lot. Its just that as I am on my own I am trying to work out how I will manage the kids, stroller, food etc !! ( the kids will probably be asleep by this time judging from other vacations)

Thanks a lot

Shopping is treated exactly the same as for your luggage.

Drive up to entrance portico. Bell services will help unload your luggage and shopping, load it all onto a cart give you a receipt & take it into their store room. Make sure you have your room reservation documents in your hand, not packed in your luggage like me!

Park your car or valet park

Check in.

Tell Bell Services you have checked in and give them receipt.

They take you to your room.

Andrew is right; groceries and luggage are all the same to bell services. Just be sure to tip them.

This seems like a perfect case for Valet Parking: have bell services unload your luggage and groceries onto their cart, send your car away with the valet (after tipping, of course), then go check in at a relaxed pace. You are on vacation, after all.

You'll find parking closer than BWV, and WLV. It's actually quite convenient out the back of the resort.

Depending where your room is, you might find it easier to self-park and walk in from the far end of the building. The rooms farthest down from the lobby (170's) are right on top of the self-parking lot. There is a stairwell door that that opens with your room key. We came in this way with groceries once, and walked through the air conditioned hallway to get to our room. This is where some of the handicapped parking spots are, too.

I like this option. I felt we looked like bumpkins with our groceries and junk (pool toys, etc) so the bellmen took only our luggage and we brought the other stuff later, as needed. :) Now there is certainly no LAW against hauling groceries through the front, this was just me being silly!

We just returned from BCV vacation and had Tiffany Towncar service stop at Publix to pick up a few things. We gave our groceries to the bellman along with the rest of our stuff. Save yourself the hassle, and pull up and have them take all your stuff and valet park your car as well, at least for check in. DVC gets free valet, and the extra tip will be worth the smooth transition to check in. After you get your room assignment, you will likely find it easier to self-park for the rest of your trip, because as was already said, it is decently close to the back entrance of the villas. Especialy since traveling alone with 2 kids, make things as simple as possible for the trip - that is what Disney CM's are there for, to make your vacation life easier! Enjoy the resort - we definately did!!!

With the kids, I would get valet parking even though the self park is almost always closer

Having bell service deal with groceries is great. We've done it at BWV and it is a real time saver!

This may be a silly question- how much is customary to tip if there are groceries and luggage? Do you do it per bag? Thanks!

Thanks very much for the replies....handing the luggage and groceries to the Bellmen and then Valet parking the car is definitely the way for me then!!

I can see that would be soooo much easier...

Thanks

I heard BCV will store your cold groceries, too. Is that true? If so, it would make sense to pack them all together.
