Carrying epipens on rides

I know Universal is strict about not allowing any bags on rides. My DD has severe food allergies and must have 2 epipens with her at all times. Would carrying an epipen in a dreaded fanny pack or something similar be allowed? Cargo shorts maybe? Any other suggestions?

UO and WDW are the only places I would ever consider wearing a fanny pack. I wear one almost every day when at UO and have never had a problem on any ride, even FJ and RRR. If she is not wearing cargo shorts or something with pockets to carry her epi pens, a fanny pack will not be a problem at all.

I was thinking about this a little more yesterday after I posted. There is a new epipen, the Auvi-Q, that just came out a couple of months ago that is smaller and less bulky than the traditional epipen. I think I may ask our allergist for a prescription for that one just for this trip.

Any fanny pack suggestions? :rotfl2: I can't believe that I'm really considering getting one!

I always wear cargo shorts with good size pockets that button or zip so that I can safely carry my wallet and passes. It's nice to not have to deal with bag searches or lockers.
