Carrying Duffy in the Parks?

I love my duffy bear but never had an opportunity to take him to the parks. I have carried him around the ship a few times.

My question is:

Is this still a thing? As an adult (traveling with two kids), can I tote my duffy? How do those who carry him around take him on his adventure?

I've reviewed the boards and found old old post but was curious about what the updated duffy diaries might be like.

Thanks in advance!

I took Chef Figment around the World Showcase posing with food during Food and Wine. It's Disney, don't be shy or be hesitant to do what you want! :D

My former supervisor and his wife have a small stuffed teddy bear with a khaki vest and boonie hat that they take on all their trips. They take pictures with their bear everywhere. He is in his early 60s and she is in her late 50s, so you're never too old :)

You can feel free to take whatever stuffed animal you want in the parks with you. Idk about it being a thing though, I've never seen anyone bringing him around

My mom and step dad have a monkey... (Not a cute one either, he's like an orangutang* sp!)

He goes everywhere and they don't care... He even has travel clothes...

lol!!! Take Duffy! Disney is the one place where no one's "habits" are strange. People embrace being free to have a great time with hats, shirts, ears, tiaras, and plush animals and dolls.

I have my special never to be worn anywhere but Disney tinker belle jeans that I wear every time.

I knew that bringing Duffy to the parks and taking photos with him was a thing in Tokyo, but I didn't know it was here. Heck, they even have designated photo spots for Duffy over there. If toting Duffy around is something you want to do, then do it. Perhaps you could invest in a Snuggli or a baby sling carrier to keep yourself hands free.

Duffy at the parks has a huge instagram presence for the Tokyo park but you honestly don't see people doing it at the US parks. I don't even remember really seeing people carrying Duffy bears around over the past couple of years. He's in the process of being phased out, it feels like, which is sad because I really love Duffy! That being said, come up with your own way of doing things, something fun that you'll enjoy and remember for years to come. You see bloggers taking pictures of random things at Disney all the time, so I don't think anyone is really going to care that you're taking pics with Duffy. Have a great time, and report back to us with what you decide to do!

This has been really great guys!! I'm very grateful for all the encouragement and support to travel with Duffy. I have a build a bear back sack thing that has arm holds and let's the bear's head poke out.

I'm traveling with other family members and didn't want to cause a scene but it looks like everyone is on board withe the fun.

I really don't think other park guests will care. We honestly can't say if your family will mind, but even if they do, this trip is for you too! If you're worried about it, maybe talk with them and ask what they think and tell them why you are excited about doing it.

We bought the Flower and Garden 2016 Shellie May doll from Epcot this March break. We took pics with her at Epcot.

Duffy is huge in Japan, but not at Disney World. But still, I think it's fine to carry him around and enjoy the parks with him.

Bring him and have fun, the cast members love him.
My 22 year old son totes him around all the time. So many cool pictures where the photopass photographer made a point of including Duffy in the shot. On the Marceline tour they even made Duffy his own nametag :)

I'm so glad to hear that you love Duffy too!! Wear him proudly around the parks, even if isn't 'a thing' - make it your thing!

We carried Duffy around in 2012. the characters usually make a big deal about him when he is with us. for HS day he had his jedi costume. for MK day he alternated pirate & buzz. my daughter was 16 at the time, and my son was 18. it was cute & fun.

I'm so excited about bringing my duffy along now. I went to bab and bought their actual bear backpack holder. And yeah it is going back. Looks cute on a kid with a smaller bear but 17 inch duffy is just too big and falls forward... so back to the back sack.

I hope to find lots of people with love for Duffy. My youngest daughter is going to get Sallie Mae at the parks so we will be quite the pair. I'm really excited we get to share this. We bought the photo pass and my sister is oh so excited (not) that I plan to use it for some awesome duffy shots

Bring your Duffy along! Have you ever heard of "Flat Stanley"? Neither had I, but we ran into him at the MK years ago. My friend had a "Flat Amanda" with her since a friend couldn't come along and the two had a meet up pic taken outside the carousel. Adults have been bringing along fun "kiddie" things for years! I don't have a Duffy, but I did bring along a Woody plush once. He traveled around Hollywood Studios with me to meet Buzz and the real Woody. Those two had a blast playing with him. A little Roo got to eat at Crystal Palace with us so the Hundred Acre Wood crew could see him off on his Magic Kingdom day before heading home to a sick little cousin. This year I'm thinking about bringing along my Ewok to go on a "Caravan of Adventure", or maybe that'll hold off until Star Wars land is done. It's fun for me to bring them along to meet characters. Do what's fun for you and don't worry about what the other adults are thinking.

I carry a hamster along on many of my trips. Easy to carry in a pocket and pull out for a photo. Oh, it's not a real one.

My boyfriend and I usually have some sort of 'sophisticated companion' (ie stuffed animal) that comes along on our trip as a mascot. We only do this at Disney and we usually just have a good time with it. The characters will usually use it as a talking point.

My little sister couldn't come on a trip once (she's 25) so we kidnapped her hooter from captain eo then made her a photo book of all his adventures in Disney.

We just decided we're going to Tokyo Disneyland in a year and I'm already super excited to get a gelatoni. I was never into Duffy but I've fallen in love with that cat.

So bring Duffy along and have a blast.
