Carry on Luggage Size

We got our Cruise Docs yesterday. While reading them over the DW noticed that the carry on luggage is restricted to airline size. 9X14X22 I believe what is in there. We aren't flying, does anyone know if they enforce this size limitation? I know they didn't a couple of years ago, but that was pre 9/11.

They do now. EVERYTHING you carry on the ship must fit thru the scanner or it'll become checked luggage. Now, even if you're driving you can have checked luggage. You just drop it off outside the port building to the baggage handlers there and they'll deliver it to your room.
Make sure you have the tags on the luggage that are provided in your docs.

Ah that's why then, they are running scanners at the cruise terminal? They didn't used to. Ok now to find some 9X14X22 bags....
