Carry On Luggage and ME

I received my ME tags plenty in advance, but since it's a short trip and I want to get home ASAP when we return to O'hare, we are only using carry on bags. How does ME handle carry ons? Do you carry them on to the ME bus as well or do they store them in the luggage compartment of the bus? TIA for any help!

Do you know if I will be able to get them myself when we arrive at the resort or if they will go with baggage to be delivered to the room? I was thinking I'd let the kids swim when we first got there before hitting a Epcot.

From what I've read you will get them right when you get off the bus.The bags with the yellow tags (which you won't have any of) go on a different bus and then get delivered to your room.

Your carry-ons CAN be stored under the bus (ask the driver to load them for you), but if they're small enough to fit under the seat or on the overhead shelf then they are permitted on the DME bus.

When the bus stops at your resort, the driver will remove from the cargo hold any carry-ons that you may have stored under there. There's absolutely no way carry-ons will get mixed up with the "magical" delivery of checked luggage.

Very cool! I was hoping if there was a wait to gather carry ons to have my 11 yr old grab our bags and wait while I check in if it's close enough and the lines aren't too long. My only concern is he's really small for his age, so it will appear that I'm sending my 8 yr old son to retreive bags.

Checked, DME tagged, luggage is transported seperately on trucks.

What you "bring to the bus" you "take from the bus" upon your arrival at your resort.

I will have a small 18 inch wheeled bag and a book bag coming off the Airline. CAN I get on the ME bus WITH these items? I am thinking of using them for my one way trip in Nov. flying SWA!
