We usually go to WDW in October and it is not too hot to carry a backpack with drinks, etc. This year we are going in August and i am wondering with the sweltering heat, how do you handle carrying a backpack? Do you buy a cheap umbrella stroller and pop it in there and push it around??? Any ideas??
Thanks :Pinkbounc

We just carry a backpack with as little as possible in? What do you REALLY need? Tickets, money, camera, basic first aid kit, couple of bottles of water, suncream, possibly some granola bars.... :confused3 Ours weren't exactly heavy.

The best item I brought with us last August were our cargo shorts.

Two years ago I carried a sling-backpack at the parks in late July/Early August, thankfully we rented a stroller and when my niece wasn't in it we put the bag in the stroller. It was to hot to carry to bag on my back, and being on rides with the bag was annoying aswell. I'd rather go with a sling purse (on my side) than a backpack again.

I didn't have a problem with the bag being heavy either, I just had a problem with it being so hot out that with the bag on my back it made my top stick to me even more than it would in normal FL heat. I won't take a backpack again, I'll find some other means to carry stuff around.

We bring one for snacks, ponchos, medicine, etc. We each have a strap for a previously frozen water bottle. We take turns. It isn't too bad.

Unless we have a stroller, we don't bring anything we can't put in our pockets. Except for a diaper bag, which we need less and less, and a stroller for our 2 YO, all I carry is park tickets, my debit card (just in case) and about $20 in cash, all in my front pockets.

We each had dorky fanny packs and whatever could not fit in those suckers did not get carried along!!! My 5 yo DD learned the hard way when she left her Mickey on IASW...but it was too late by the time we remembered it!!

I bet if I would have went to the lost and found there would have been about 1000 lost stuffed Mickeys waiting for a home!!! ;)
