Carrier requirements?

We will be taking our then 4.5 month old with us. He is very comfortable in his carrier now (hangs or in it most days when we run errands or go to the park with big sister). It is facing mom and would look to continue to use one like this at WDW. When we took our daughter to DL at 6 months, this want a problem on any of the rides she could go on.

However, I thought I remembered a part about WDW where they had to be facing out for certain/all rides? Anyone have experience with this? TIA!

We've taken our daughter twice while using a Tula baby carrier (faces in towards parent) we didn't have any issues riding any rides while wearing her. Some have reported issues with certain rides where the baby had to be removed... It seems as though it's not always consistent.

It isn't consistent unfortunately. I was behind a family for Pooh who was told to take their child out of the baby carrier and turn them around. Also behind a family in Pooh who was told their sleeping toddler needed to be facing forward on the bench and could not be cradled in mom or dad's lap. That is really the only place I saw it being an issue was at Pooh.

Yep, like the previous poster said the forcing of the "carrier rules" are inconsistent.

I have never, ever, ever been asked to remove my child and have them sit facing forward on any of the inside rides with lap bars. But some have.

I have ridden the carousel many times with my infant in a carrier and my toddler on a horse. Last time they told me that I had to sit on the bench seat AND take the baby out of the carrier. Thankfully this trip he is old enough to sit on a horse also!


I believe the official rule is child has to sit forward under lap bar, but most CMs don't enforce it.
