Carribean Beach Resort

My mom and I stayed at a CBR Pirate room for 6 nights/7 days with my then 4.5 and 1 yo boys. First couple of days the walk was fine--the resort is beautiful and the pirate rooms are great--but after that it became a hassle. We ended up driving the car back and forth to OPR for food and pool time--pain with wet swimsuits LOL. If you are planning to spend anytime at the resort (the pool area is fantastic for the kids) and will be there for more than 3-4 nights, personally I would book preferred.
I also would request 1st floor with kids and strollers (this is what we had!).

When you want to check out and take your own suitcases, can you use the internal shuttle? What is the difference between those and the Disney busses?

You can take your carry ons with you on the shuttle but it's probably best to use bell services for checked luggage. As far as I can tell they're the same buses.:)

Yes you can take the shuttle to the front desk for check out. Depending on where you are located you don't need the shuttle. We have stayed at this resort 4x before all in different villages and never used the internal shuttle, we never found the walk bad.
The Disney buses are what you take to the parks. The buses are marked with which park they are going to, the internal bus is for CBR only.

The internal shuttle goes around and around the resort bus stops. It doesn't leave CBR.

Someone will come along with an answer for suitcases on the internal shuttle but what you could also do is call Bell Services to pick up your luggage. Tip them a dollar or so per piece they pick up and you won't have to worry about it.

I just have to chime in and say Jamaica 45 or 46 is a FANTASTIC place to be in CBR! Agree with PP's - 5-7 minute walk to the main building/food court/pool and there's a quiet pool and laundry room within 2 minutes of your door. CBR is my new "home" at WDW!

We stayed in bldg. 51 last time and loved it. It was very close to the bus and you always got a seat on the bus as you were one of the first to be picked up. The quiet pool and beach were a short walk, but not bad. We drove to the main pool though. I thought it was a long walk at the end of the day. they do have the internal shuttle if you don't have a car.

We're staying in a preferred room in February, can't wait! :cool1:

A quick question though: Do the park buses go to all the different stops in the resort or do I need to take a internal bus to the front of the resort and then get a bus from there? We'll have a car too.

No need to hop on the internal shuttle. Just walk to the closest bus stop.:)
