WHO does good job cleaning carpets? Would like to have my carpets cleaned in my new house before we move in.

Myself i'd like to clean the carpets myself DH says NO to much work.

Well make sure you get a few quotes, alot of companys will say so much per room, how ever that does not include alot of things that should just be with the clean. You should never have to pay extra for soap or prespray. We have a carpet cleaning bus and my 'DH has seen and heard it all. I wont reccomend anyone. I would also maybe check with BBB and reviews. Your husband is right it is alot of work. My husband pushes around a 16 pd wand. Looks easy but its not.

So shop around and get a few estimates before deciding. I hope you find someone that will do a good job for you. Jo

We hired Stanley Steemer before we moved into the new house. Not a bad price and they said they would come back within 2 weeks if we were not happy, I thought the carpet looked great. SS was happy because they had to move no furniture Then the movers came.... The carpet paths got a lot of dirt tracked in but SS came back and cleaned those at no charge. Total for 4 bedrooms, hall, stairs, dining room & ofice was $207.

We just got our old carpet cleaned by Oxi Fresh and I was amazed how nice it looked afterwards. We moved some furniture to accomodate our new Plasma TV and there was a stain that was at least ten years old and they got it out. The carpet dries quickly and they do not use tons of water which pushes the stains into the carpet pad and allows them to reappear.
