I too saw one of Walt's original animatronic creations at the 64/65 world's fair (having gone over it's one year limit, it's not officially a world's fair). While it wouldn't be on my top 10 list, I do like it. I saw that and the Hall of President's which as a child scared the hell out of me. I had nightmares for years knowing that Lincoln was murdered, yet he was somehow embodied in this robot. I knew it was a machine but...
Been to DL (was in the industry in LA for a while and actually did some work for Disney/ABC, Paramount and Universal). I got to go to all the parks quite often. I like DL and it's differences from DW. I would have said before California Adventure that once you've seen DW, DL is a letdown, but it stands on it's own.
