How did I miss that this was going to be closed during out trip next month?

8/10-8/24 I just noticed it when I was on the app moving a couple of FP+ times. It shows the same thing on the main site no matter what date I click on. "Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back here for updates."

They probably just mean it's closed right now. Looks like you're safe.

It is only closed for a few days starting today. You'll be fine. It is currently closed, so that is why it is showing that on the app/site.

I'm with alicat8...I'm betting had you checked the website yesterday (7/24) it probably would have shown up but as today is 7/25 which is the first day of it's several day refurb it should correctly show as closed. From what I've seen on multiple sites it should be up and open again starting on 7/29.

Thanks! I knew about the short July closing but I was surprised to see it not showing as being open in August. Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks, it's one of my favorites!

Ours too! We'd be devastated if that was closed in addition to BTMRR and Dinosaur. My kids are already pretty bummed. Each year at least one of our favorites is down for refurbishment, last year we missed POTC so we're looking forward to doing the refurbished version of that.

We went on it twice while we were there this past week. It broke down the second time we went on it, and we were waiting about 20 minutes before it resumed. Maybe they need to grease the tracks a bit!
