Who has stayed here and what did you like most about it?

I just finally booked my package, we were hoping for the Tropicana as that package was available a few days ago but we decided on the Carousel. Are the beds really hard? Would you recommend a certain floor?

We stayed there in 2006 and had a really good stay, better than the Tropicana two years earlier. Rooms are bigger, much bigger fridge and microwave and the breakfast was better. Good friendly helpful staff. Only negative was the pool which is small.

We stayed on the first floor of rooms about halfway between the two elevators, this was a good location as you are that bit closer and there wasn't many people walking past our door so was very quiet.

As we weren't flying out until the evening we asked for a late checkout the night before and got a 1pm checkout, they then stored our luggage and we spent a relaxing afternoon up in their airconditioned breakfast room which had a TV in it.

Things can change of course, I have heard their breakfast is not as good as it used to be...

Anyone else? We're staying there next month, and I have heard some good things and some bad things. Would love to hear some more input from DISers!

We stayed there in november. We loved it, hardwood floors, nice beds, large room. There is a main building and then a one story building across the lot with parking below it.We liked it.No one above and no one below :)
It would only be an issue if you heard the cars pulling in and out but we did not. There is a quizos right there too.It is a walking distance hotel as it is next door to the tropicanna.

Well we almost stayed there. I really liked the reviews I had read, and did quite a bit of research. We ended up switching over to the Tropicana though when I heard the pool was on the small side, and there is no hot tub.

We actually really liked the Tropicana, and will stay there again (we got the excellent rate for Hojo's so were trying that this time). The Carousel didn't seem to have much property to it. You parked under the hotel, and they had the pool on the roof. That isn't a big deal or anything, but we are big on having a hot tub normally so we didn't stay there.
