Is concierge at the Carousel Inn worth it?

Not a joke... it looks like they've added a new "club concierge option." Here's what it says on their blog:


Indulge in the Club level with our new spa rubes and slippers and personalized concierge services with dedicated staff to attend to your every need.
Priority check-in, staff assisted vacation planning, welcome amenity, continuous access to the ParkView Lounge with Continental Breakfast. Nightly turn down service and preferential access to the Fitness Center.

Based on my experience with the Carousel... it isn't really worth it to get concierge. You can get a renovated room, access to the lounge for breakfast and to use the computer, and access to the fitness center, without paying more. It's an okay hotel, but definitely not worth paying premium prices for.

However, since I don't have direct experience with this new service, I'm only speaking from supposition.

I stayed in one of those rooms without the concierge part back in October/November. While I really liked the room (hard wood floors=fewer germs!), the a/c was SO LOUD (probably due to those lovely hard wood floors) that I couldn't sleep at night!

We were "upgraded" to the room because there was a big debate contest or something that weekend and all the 2 queen rooms were full. The bathroom had a skylight and the windows were shuttered instead of using drapes. I think all their rooms have those now though.

Given the chance, I don't know that I would pay for the service though. I don't see how what they're offering is worth it!

I just think it is funny for a motel to offer concierge! I wonder if it is a better selection at breakfast than when i was there last.......

They have the same regular stuff as before but they now also sell breakfast wraps or burritos (whichever word you choose) and bottled water for a couple bucks each or something.
