I am at the northern part of NC so my party with Ophelia will not be until dinner time or later tomorrow. Flooding is the fear as I live close to the water and the storm surge is going to be significant.

We are boarded up and I have lots of canned foods and liquor! We are poised and ready to haul the antiques up to the second floor if it look really bad.

I have been through a lot of these storms and not in fear for safety but for losing comfort. Not having air conditioning is hardship for a priss like me.

Good luck Lisa. But I guess for you on the Carolina's coast, this is just a little bitty cat 1. I hear you about the AC though. We lost ours for a month with the 2 that hit us last year. I hope if you loose yours, they get it fixed right away.

So far so good but it is really not supposed to be here until much later. Yesterday they said it was going to be worse for my town than Isobel and I was worried.Today the outlook seems to be better.
