Carnival Suspending All Princess Cruises for 60 Days

Vancouver has not yet banned anyone, but to say they aren't considering it is not accurate either. It's not solely a local decision.

The article says CANADIAN officials say they have no plans to block cruise ships from docking in Vancouver, not LOCAL officials. I will concede though that it also says, "The Port of Vancouver said it’s taking its cues from Health Canada, but has no plans to stop cruise ships from docking. "

No one has plans, until they do. Right now, that's kind of what is going on. Fewer plans and more quick response.

I don't think the Europe travel ban in the US was days in the planning, and certainly in Canada the Trudeaus self-isolating due to virus exposure is breaking, not planned.

If DCL is going to do it, I hope they do it now in hopes of getting it under control sooner rather than later. Totally selfish of me since I'm cruising in July.

My last two vacations were canceled (totally out of my control, work issue now corona) and I really don't want anymore to be canceled.

Yeah we had our eyes on a Castaway Cay double dip cruise for this summer, but I don't think we're gonna be doing that anymore.

Interesting that Princess Cruises are still showing available on third party sites during this 60 days.

I think that might be showing why someone needs to be wary of third party sites. I've heard stories of friends in hotel chains having people show up who booked through those sites but nothing is showing in their actual system. I wouldn't trust anything showing from them especially when the official website is saying otherwise.
