Caring for Giants

Hi!
We are planning on booking the Caring for Giants tour at AK on December 8 for a party of 8. Is this one of those that we need to call at 7am in order to book this? Thank you!

Caring for Giants reservations open 60 days out just like dining....and, just like dining, you get 60+10 reservation window if you are staying on site. I would attempt to reserve online instead of waiting to call when the phone lines open up at 7:00. I would try at 5:30 and, if not successful, try again at 5:45. Enchanting Extras reservations open before restaurant reservations.

I have seen mention of some enchanting extras being available at midnight, but I don't know if that is currently the case or which extras it may apply to.

Agree with booking online versus calling. Also, if you do not get it, keep trying as availability fluctuated during the weeks leading uo to our May trip. At least one reservation finder will scan for it, too.

You did not ask this, but we switched to the rhino tour due to poor reviews for the elephant tour. Though not guaranteed, you get to pet a rhino. The elephants are at a distance and more of a talking tour.

FWIW we have done both caring for giants and up close with rhinos and enjoyed them both. They are, however, different as @eksmama01 points out. Here is a past post of mine.....
