Caribbean Beach..yuck

My sister & I checked in to this place last Friday. It was dirty, not maintained and we could not wait to get out of there. We immediately switched to Wilderness Lodge which was great. Bottom line, you get what you pay for, ever at Disney.

Wow that's surprising to hear...I've stay at that resort many times and have loved it and it was clean and pristine! Hmmm....I do know they were hit very hard by the hurricanes.....sorry your stay wasn't nice.....

I didn't notice any hurricane damage. But the room was filthy, mold growing in the bathroom and on the a/c vents. We did not stay for more then 30 minutes. We had a fantastic time at Wilderness Lodge.

Now that's simply not true. Pop Century, which is *gasp!* a Value Resort, is one of the cleanest places I've *ever* stayed in, period.

If CBR wasn't up to snuff that's one thing, but these sweeping generalizations are starting to border on the absurd.

You didn't like the room condition or the resort condition? what section were you in?

After 30 minutes you complained and they moved you to WL? did you pay and additional funds for the move... how was it all handled?

I'm sorry you weren't happy at the CBR. We stayed there in May and it was fabulous! We loved it so much that we are going to stay there again this year.

Sorry you had a bad stay at CBR. We stayed there in 2003 after a baaaad stay at ASMo and LOVED it!!! But, then again we heard a TON of good stuff about the Movies but we had a horrible stay! It's the luck of the draw sometimes ya know

I'm sure there are clunker rooms in every resort in WDW. Sometimes all it takes is a guest allerting the CM's of the problem to get it fixed. You must have some kind of pull to get bumped up to WL. I figured they'd just move you to another room.

sorry to hear that you didn't like the cbr. my finance and i stayed there July 2002 and then again may 2004. we loved it. the rooms and the resort was great. i will definitely go back. we like to check out all different resorts. the only one we have disliked was POR in 2003. it was under construction so only a few bus stations were open. there was a lot of walking.
