Caribbean Beach Vs. Bay Lake Tower or Poly

Just moved over from POP to Caribbean Beach for four nights in January. Great, unbelievable rates. However, I'm tempted to rent a studio at either Poly or Bay Lake for just a few hundred dollars more. I am an AP holder and visit about 3-4 times a year. Parks close early in January, so that's the reason why I moved from POP to CB, thinking I might have more to do at night at CB (or an easy walk to Riviera for dinner).

Sigh, but the allure of getting a Poly or BLT studio for just a few dollars more is beckoning. Don't know how great the night life will be since Trader Vics, etc is closed.

What would you do?

If you have a car, perhaps you could drive over for a drink? I’m not sure what the rules are this week for resort hopping.

BLT studios are really tight. If just two of you, it would be find. Or just two adults and one smaller child. But when you start talking about older kids, it gets really, really close in the studio. It has one queen bed and a double sleeper sofa that are wall to wall when they are both open. The Polynesian studio would have one queen bed, one queen sleeper and one bunk sized murphy bed. But when all the beds are open, it can also be a bit tight in the room. Also the Polynesian will have an extra shower/sink room along with the standard bathroom with tub/shower combo, sink and toilet.

And I think you mean Trader Sam's. I think Trader Vic's is a bar/club in California where the Rat Pack hung out. You can take Disney transportation to the various resorts or you can make an ADR at table service. They pretty much are not letting guests just drive up to a resort without an ADR or mobile order.

Just two people. I was looking for a place that wouldn't be boring after the parks close (they close very early mid-January).

The Polynesian would give you easy access to both the GF and the Polynesian areas. And depending on whether they close the path or not at night at the MK, you might even be able to head to the Contemporary by walking.

What does your park-day schedule look like? For 4 nights, I would stay by the parks I'm going to be at the most. But I totally understand the allure of getting BLT or Poly for just a little more than CBR. Between those two, I would probably choose Poly because it has the extra partial bath and it's within walking distance to the GF for additional food options.
