Caribbean Beach Resort - walking to Epcot & Studios?

I used Walking on Google Maps and got 1.9 miles from CBR to DHS.

WDW isn't meant for walking like Disneyland Resort. Crossing at the intersections would be dangerous.

That's because you put in walking from the entrance of CBR to the entrance to DHS, I assume.

From "Buena Vista Dr & Victory Way, Kissimmee, FL" (the intersection behind Aruba), dragging the route thing around to go west on Buena Vista and then curve south around the water the way the walking path (the one that goes from the Studios to Boardwalk), is .8 miles. It's not exact since the path actually is closer to the water than the road, but it's close.

There's one intersection. It has crosswalks and stoplights. Geez, am I the only one here who's ever dared to cross a major road?

If it's not "meant for walking," why did Disney put in a walking path that goes *only* directly from CBR to the Boardwalk and the Studios?

Tillymarigold, Apparently, we're the only crazy people that are into this whole "walking" thing. At least I know the sidewalk won't be packed with people!
