Caribbean beach resort over 4th of July

Hi, I'm new here. Last week I booked at the cbr. I will be there June 28th trough July 5th. I was wondering if you could see any of the fireworks from the cbr. Also my husband would like to spend a day at the ocean, probably the day we leave. Do you have any suggestions on a good beach to go to. Or a Hotel on the beach. Thanks, Stacy

Hi - we'll be there 7/3 through 7/8 and then going to Vero Beach for a couple. Last year we were there for the 4th and I saw the Epcot fireworks from the beach near Port Royale. You only see the high fireworks, not the whole Illuminations show.

I don't know about the fireworks, but Cocoa Beach is only an hour east of Orlando. It's a great day trip.

When we stayed at CBR in 2000, we went out on the sand and sat in hammocks and watched the Epcot fireworks over by Old Port Royale...It was great...we could only see the high ones, but there were lots of those!

On the Atlantic - we like New Smyrna - about 1 hour and 15 minute drive. We like a little privacy so we usually go to the Canaveral National Seashore. You pay a few bucks but he privacy is worth it.

On the Gulf - we like Siesta Key (near Sarasota) - that would be about 2 1/2 hours.

You can see the higher fireworks from Epcot everynight. We were there last summer during the fourth and they had all kinds of activities planned. I think you will really enjoy the resort and the parks over the holiday.

Thanks for all of your help. Now I got a starting point for beaches. I can't decide what to do the fourth though. May be we could enjoy the fireworks at the parks the other nights and on the forth just watch them from the resort to avoid the crowds.
