Thank you Safety Mom for that info!! Do you know about how a taxi would cost to go from CBR over to the Yacht Club. I was hoping CBR would add some days to their pirate adventure--but guess we will do the Albatross Treasure Cruise (its offered on Fridays) Or any easier way on the busses to get there...

Thanks so much in advance!!!

Not sure, but I think you could take the bus to Epcot, then walk thru the gateway to Yacht & Beach Club area. We are hoping to go over there and take a ride on the Breathless.

I would say a taxi would be about $10 or so to the YC.

You will not know what room you will have until you check-in (and only if your room is ready). If your room is not ready they will give you the keys and give you a number to call to see if your room is available.

You can check in at anytime the day you arrive (10am if you please). If they have room ready for you I'm sure they would accomodate you. I will be at CBR on Wednesday and I'm planning to check in around 12:30pm.

They will not tell you until your room is ready to be occupied what room you will be in. There is also a quiet pool in every village so you should never be far from a pool.

Hello. I'm sorry, what are these Pirate adventure and treasure hunts? I am staying at CBR in a month, and would love to find out all I can.

You can check in any time before 3 but your room may not be ready. They will give you your room keys and a phone number to call. You can call to see if the room is ready and when it is they will give you the room number. No need to visit the front desk again.

I thought you couldn't check in until 3 or 4 pm?
Last year, I arrived at 10:30 a.m. and got my room.

As Safetymom said, you can check in at any time. if your room isn't available when you check in, they will give you a mechanism to find out when the room is ready.

But checking in as soon as you arrive is not improper, it's not getting away with anything, and it's certainly not frowned upon. If your room is ready, they don't want you to have to wait until check in time just for the sake of waiting.

I am planning to check in at 8AM on my arrival day. I haven't ever checked in early at a resprt before, so we'll see how it goes.

We just got back from CBR last Wednesday. We checked in at about 12:30pm and got our room immediately. We had requested a first floor bay-view room in Aruba building 55. Well, we ended up getting a first-floor bay-view room in Aruba building 52.

As we were walking there from the car, I was all disappointed because it was pretty far from the bus stop, then I thought it was going to be by the quiet pool, and then....we turned the corner. We had a beautiful CORNER room with a very nice view of the bay. It was very close to the bridge to Old Port Royale and just a great location.

We had a little problem with busses on our first morning. We were at the bus stop at 7am since we had an 8:30am ADR at Epcot and busses were already running. We saw 4 MK, 2 AK, and 3 MGM busses in the hour that we sat there waiting. We also saw the wonderful Internal Shuttle driver 5 times! He finally got on the radio to find out where the Epcot bus was and within 5 minutes, one showed up. We managed to get to Epcot at 8:20 and had to book it through the park to get to Akershus.

Every other time, we had great bus service, so I'm wondering if one of the busses we saw was put on the wrong route by accident or something. I don't know. We always took the second stop off the bus, either way. If we came in one way, we got off at Aruba. If we came in the other way, we got off at OPR. The difference in distance to our room was minimal, so it worked out well for us.

The grounds were beautiful, the CMs at the marina were great when we rented a boat, and the CMs at the front desk were wonderful with my DD4. They even offered to let her help check us in. She thought it was cool!!!

I can't wait to go back!!!!

This is such a remarkable wealth of information about CBR. It looks like an absolutely beautiful place. Thanks to all who provide such great information.

Now to the questions! :thumbsup2 My family (myself 30, DH 31 and DD 10) are looking at a WDW trip for December 8th-15th 2007 (the 11th will be DD 11th b-day). We are going to be deciding beteween CSR and CBR. So far both look great. I have seen photos for CSR at Christmas and let me tell you they are breathtaking!

So my first question is where oh, where can I see pictures of CBR at CHRISTMASTIME?? ;)

I will tell you the things I am looking for if we do pick CBR and would love some one to reccomend which area we should ask for. I do not mind paying extra if it would be necessary to get the things we want. My list of things I would like is rather large. So bear with me please..

1.Close to the "beach"
2.NOT close to a playground 3.2nd story (for view of Illuminations and less "people traffic") 4.Prefer to not have a connecting room (they always seem so loud to me) 5.Relatively close to a pool.
Thanks so much in advance! This is a top notch thread! :teeth:

I read on 1 post that CBR DOES have fridges in all rooms. I read on anouther post that ALL moderates have fridges in every room now. And I read that CBR only has fridges for a cost. Which is true? Do you have to PAY for a fridge?

They're free and in all the moderate rooms.

I just booked! SHe said Martinique and Triniadad North were all booked up, but suggested I check back for any cancellations.

So- she said the next closest would be Jamaica. Building 45 or 51. I checked the map, and 51 looked like it was the Aruba section. Either way, they're both right by the bridge leading to the Old Port Royale area. Has anyone stayed in either of these buildings? Thoughts or opinions? Thanks!

Just keep in mind that Aruba 51 is a smoking section.
