Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ

We have gone to MK many many times and only parked there once. We did it so we could say that we have parked at all the Parks. The parking lot is confusing and you are further away. Most of the time at Epcot we walk from the car into the park. You sure can't do that at MK.

i know this is a crazy question but here it goes, do they have biscuits and gravy at the food court? my hubby refuses t stay anywhere that does not have gravy, LOLwe are trying to decide between CSR AND CBR help convince me to stay at CBR over CSR.

Reply: We were there in early January and every breakfast they had a big pan of gravy sitting on the beverage island in the food court. Had biscuits at dinner with the fried chicken dinner, so I'm sure they have them for all meals.

Does anyone know if you can put 5 in a room at CBR? I don't want to ask when registering because if they say no I might do it anyway. I don't mind paying for the fifth, but if they say I have to get two rooms, ...well that would impact our decisions. Thank you, greg

The only moderate that will allow 5 is POR. You may get alot of flack for this one, about sneaking the fifth in the room.

Are any buildings designated non-smoking at CBR? Or are smoking and non-smoking mixed within each building? I need to stay as far from smokers as possible, so requesting a totally non-smoking building would be ideal. Thanks!

If your 5th person is under the age of 3, you used to be able to request a crib and 5 were allowed. Not sure how it is now.

Hunnypots,

I think I read that one of the Trinidads (North or South) was designated as a smoking building. I don't know if that means that all of the other buildings would be smoke-free? I am certain that you will be able to request a non-smoking room wherever you stay.

I love the CBR thread!

We were there a couple of weeks ago. I requested Martinique 25 because it was posted here that it was a non smoking building.

CBR is the best!!!

Just got back late last night!!! Don't worry about smoking buildings! They are few and far between! Trinidad North 31 is one of them but really there are only 4 or 5 in the whole resort and it's HUGE!!!! The bus stops are all very conveinient with shade, newpapers and soda machines. Busses run ALL THE TIME! Coffee in your room is FREE!!!! I asked!:) Mousekeeping was great but didn't take their tips for 3 days so I ran them down to Customs House! Ask away! The place was GREAT!!!

Does anyone know where the smoking buildings are at? We are staying here in july and hubby is a smoker.

just reread the post, i see trinidad has a smoking building, does anyone know where the rest are at?

I was excited to read one of the remarks about being able to see the fireworks from Epcot! Is this true? If so, where at CBR is the best spot to sit and see them?

We are leaving in 15 days and this will be our first stay on grounds!! I love learning all of this before I go! Thanks to everyone!

Here's the smoking list

Martinique-21
North Trinidad-31 *IMO the BEST building!!!! closest smoking bldg to OPR!!!
Aruba-51
That's it! only 3!!!!

p.s. the rooms do NOT smell smokey and smoking is allowed at the pool and on the grounds as well as at the bus stops. The main problem is finding those hidden areas at the parks!

can be seen from the OPR pool. Around 8:45ish go to the main pool and to the left of the pool bar there is a small beach. Have a seat and enjoy!!!!

We could see the Epcot fireworks from our window in Aruba 53! It was so exciting!

I think you could probably see the fireworks from just about anywhere at CBR, facing north toward Epcot, of course. You also need to find a clearing if you want an un-obstructed view, as you won't be able to see very well through all the vegetation.

Bus Stops....In order of pickup AND drop off are....

1.Jam
2.Aruba
3.Barb
4.Mart
5.Port
6.TN
7.TS

HTH,
D

Sometimes! depending on how the busses enter/exit it could be Martinique first.....

Since POFQ will be closing, I am considering CBR. My children will be 10, 9, and 16mos at trip time. I am concerned that this resort is too big. The boys will want to be near the pool, and we plan to eat at the food court often. With the baby, and all the walking in the parks, I'd rather not have a 20 minute trek to pool and food when we get back.

Is there an area to request that would be not too far from everything? We're renting a car, so buses aren't too big an issue. Suggestions?

There is a quiet pool in each of the villages also so plenty of places to swim. Martinique and Trinidad North are on each side of Old Port Royale if you want to be close to the food court. Even if you are on the other side of the lake the walk is not bad to the food court because you can take the bridge over Parrot Cay.

Hi Safetymom,I just posted a question about the Caribbean Beach Resort then found this great FAQ section! We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort April 30-May 3rd and can't wait!
It sounds like a great resort.I have never stayed inside Disney before so I'm looking forward to it! We are requesting the Aruba Building #55...Guess it's a building further away with a quiet pool nearby? Southwest Airlines has a special where your travel companion flies for free! Great deal too! Hoping for a nice relaxing time....
