What kind of nice pictures did they have, what were the pictures of, and were they like posters rolled or on a cardboard, or framed?

I think you will have a great time there at CBR, it's so beautiful and romantic! Have an awesome anniversary trip! And, yes, should be less crowded. We went on the first of Jan one yr and event that day and the following week, it was pretty quiet! But, did you really have a month long trip from Dec 30 to Jan 30 and drop to a 4 day trip? Wow!

There are two types of CBR pictures. Some of them were just like matted photos and the others that I'm talking about are more like painted pictures. They had a few different ones of the resort and different sizes too. They had 11x13, 5x7 and I think another size. I bought one so if you want I can post They were on a framed mating. You would just need to find a frame. A friend of mine has one of every resort she stayed in and has them on her office wall. here is a photo of them.

Wow, in all the years we've been visiting WDW and stgaying at Disney resorts ( since 1981) I've never noticed those! I'd love to have one for every resort we've stayed - tho8ght that may be too many. ;) Maybe for my fav resorts.

Thank you for posting those - will be sure to look for one next visit. :)

yeah we revised our plans. We are arriving on 11-20 and staying at ASMO's for that night for $59 then early the next morning we are moving to CBR from 11-21 to 11-29. This way we really get an extra day at the parks.:cheer2:

We just got back this past Saturday, so here are a few notes from our stay at CBR.

We were in Aruba. We requested a Nemo room, but they were all full. The room was lovely though. It was mostly clean. There were areas that could have definately improved, but I really wasn't in the mood to complain about it. Housekeeping came every day, and did a pretty good job. They made the bed, changed out the towels, wiped everything down, vacuumed, and changed the trash. They also arranged DD's toys every day and made us a few towel animals. The rooms could stand to be deep cleaned a little more though.

The place is huge. You can just walk and walk. It was just as beautiful as everyone says it is. We found the beaches very peaceful and wandering around the resort and just taking it in was very relaxing. We didn't find the walk to be negative at all. We very much enjoyed going to Old Port Royale.

Trying to eat at Old Port Royale was not very relaxing. If you happened to go in there when no one else was in there, it was fine. Otherwise, it was loud, the lines were long, and it was general bedlam in there. The CM's were hit and miss as far as friendly was concerned. I can't really fault them for it though, because we saw soooo many guests being so rude to the poor people trying to help them. Not to mention just rude in general.

Note to people, you may think your kids are adorable. I, however, am trying desperately to keep my tired 2 year old in check. Try it sometime.

The buses were somewhat frustrating. We had a few really short waits, and a few much longer ones. It was also either comfortable, or sardines/standing room only. People on the bus were generally nice, but there were a few really nasty ones here and there. Especially regarding the Rascal scooters. I know it takes a while for them to load, and it's an extra wait time, but really....some people are just so rude about it.

Oh, and when we arrived, bell services delivered our luggage, and they literally tossed it in the room. It was laying all over the floor when we came in later on.

The new pool is amazing.

All in all, we found the resort to be charming, although our room was in need of a really good scrubbing. I loved the theme and there was a lot of attention to detail. While we were there, we had dinner at Ohana's and fell in love with the Poly, so we plan on staying there next time, but I wouldn't avoid CBR in the future.

Other than bed size, is there any difference between a room with a king bed and a room with 2 doubles? Do you notice more room?

CBR rooms are the largest of the moderates and the same size as WL & AKL (344) std rooms at 340 sq ft.

We've found the room feels a bit roomier with a king rather than 2 dbls, but otherwise no difference. :)

Thanks! We've stayed there in the past, and I knew the rooms were the largest of any moderates. We've only ever stayed in rooms with 2 doubles, so I didn't know whether the king bed rooms seemed larger or had additional chairs, etc. Since it will just be me and my husb, I'm trying to decide whether I should request a king.

At CBR, a king-size bed room is a separate category that costs extra per night. If you decide you strongly want it, then you really need to reserve it and pay for it. Leaving it merely as a request leaves too many ifs ... IF they aren't sold out and IF you are granted a free upgrade.

Your welcome :goodvibes . My picture is 8x10 including the Matting and it was $20. I bought one for my friend and hers was 11X13 and was $30.
I hope you have a good time at Disney pixiedust: and CBR in 2 weeks!!

I changed our ressie last night. Now we are going Jan14-18, instead of Dec30-Jan30.

Should be less crowded, right??

Should I stick with CBR? Never stayed there and have had my mind set. Now, I am questioning myself. The other mods are all available. It is just me and DH on this one. Celebrating our 5th anniversary./ when we actually had our Honeymoon.

I think I am going coo-koo!

Absolutely stick with CBR! :goodvibes It is very beautiful and romantic and relaxing. My DH and I love it! :cloud9:

we'll be there for the 1st time for 3 nights starting 11/13 before our 4 days cruise. lot a reading to do here. already ordered a case of water to there. hope things turn out okay.

We were there the first of October and it was just lovely :goodvibes . Ionly wish they had queen beds...but the reaort is just awesome!! It's like your in the Caribbean!

I just ordered my case of water but the Costco only had 8 oz bottles. Oh well, if it gets there it gets there, if not, we'll manage.

I am leaving on MONDAY!!!

I BOOK OUR NEXT TRIP!!

March 6-11.

Our first trip was less than magical. I am putting so much hope into this trip.

HERE WE COME AGAIN!!! Yippy.

Thanks again to all of the people on this board that got me through my first trip planning. It made my time at CBR more enjoyable knowing that I will not get lost, that I can order groceries sent to our room and which island to stay at.

Have a safe trip. CBR is a great resort. I understand that people can find it to be a bit too spread out. yes, it is. But, it is so relaxing and so inviting to relax, that the walk to POR or the beach is enjoyable. (unless you have a 7 year old who wants the ducks to come back to her room and throws a Mickey waffle at them):rotfl2:

HAVE FUN!!

How long to get from CBR to MK

or CBR to AK? If I have 9:30 breakfasts plan, when should I plan to leave. Honestly, I have no idea and I will have to get DS and DH up and out. Thanks.
