I am so glad you wrote this....I've ALWAYS wondered how to do this!! Do you know how to get tickers...or countdowns whatever they are called? :goodvibes

As to the pins, a good alternative is the . It's the universally recognized symbol of DISBoards. Go to Home Depot, go to the Disney paints in the Paint section, and pick up the Alien Green mickey-shaped paint chips. You can write your DISBoards username on them with a sharpie and tie them to your backpack or purse. You can also put one in your resort window. I had one on my Camelbak in WDW and had many DISBoarders come up to me.

If your local Home Depot is out of the Alien Green mickey heads you can get chips of Behr "Lime Pop" which is the exact same color and cut it to shape yourself. Lime Pop can be found on the Behr rack at S-G-400.

Just back...loved CBR
We just got back from a 8 day incredible trip. We loved the CBR! We had a water view room in Trinidad North. It was beautiful. We had great service. The pool was GREAT. The food court was really pretty and the food was good. The busses were good. MOst days we waited 5-10 minutes and never waited longer than 15-20 min (that was hardle ever). I absolutely would stay there again and would reccomend it to anyone.

DH has agreed to split our vacation between 2 resorts when I told him it would save us $400+ by doing it. The 1st 1/2 will be at a value resort & the 2nd 1/2 will be at CB pirate room. For anyone that's stayed at one of the value resorts, can you give me your top picks. Thanks

I have also stayed at all 4 values and before my last trip to Music I would have said Pop...But after going to music and seeing all of the extra's they did at the pool, and the over all lay out...I loved it. It was also much quieter than our trips to Pop too. Sharing a bus with the other all stars never seemed to be an issue for us either. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I know you didn't ask me, but I do know how to get a ticker! Just double click on someone elses ticker and it should take you to the place they got their ticker. For example, click on my ticker below and it will take you to magicalkingdoms.com and you can make tickers there! (I've tried some that don't work, but most of them do!) Then you can pick out the kind you want, put in your info and there you have it! Pretty simple, so that's good! Then, just take the info they give you, they will tell you to copy and paste it in the place where you make your signature, like where you put all those mickey smilies with your family in the signature area. Does that make sense? Hope it helps you out, let me know if you need more help! :goodvibes

Btw, it took me many months to figure out the multiple quote thingy, too! ;)

We are leaving Boston for CBR on Tuesday 4am !! As I am doing my last minute to do list, it occured to me ... I have been planning to use my debit card for cash while there as needed, but have made some assumptions that I should probably check on ...

1. are there even ATM's at the resort ... do they kill you in fees?
2. as a resort guest can you simply charge to your room?
3. is there a daily limit to charge to the room if we go that way vs carrying cash?
4. travlers checks seem like a hassle in our current world of the debit card ... yes?

help ... haven't done this (a vacation) in 9 years, a little rusty and the minutes are ticking by quickly.

Thanks!

How exciting that you are leaving soon!! :cool1:

Yes, if you leave a credit card on file when you check in, you can charge things to your resort room and then at the end of the trip they give you a list of the items that you've charged to your room Unless you go pay cash at the desk or something, they charge the credit card you left on file. If you use express checkout, they will just deliver a checkout envelope to your room with all the charges. Or you can go to the resort desk the night before and settle up if you want to. If you stay awhile on checkout day and charge to your room at the parks, (can do till like midnight), they still charge to your card on file and send it to you. There is some kind of a limit, but not sure what it is, but it was plenty big enough for us. Once when we came close, having shopped a lot, we had to call the desk and okay an increase so that was fine. You could always ask at the desk just so you know and don't worry about going over. Don't know about ATM's being there. We brought travelers checks last time cause we had them left from the time before, they are sort of a pain, but we spent them and finished them up. They do spend like cash though. Spend like money, but charging to the room is much easier. Just keep track of it so you don't have a much larger bill than expected, it's easier to lose track when you don't actually see the cash going out. Sorry to ramble on. Hope this is somewhat helpful, anyway. Have a wonderful trip :goodvibes

Quick question, sorry if it is a repeat.....About how long is the bus ride from CBR to the MK?? We are booked for 2 nights before our cruise and want to check out MVMCP. Also, how often do the busses run and from when to when?? Thanks so much.

I was showing DD18 the pic of the newly redone CBR rooms the other day. I remember seeing the alarm clock on the night stand. It looked like it might also be a sound machine, is that right? My DD18 thought it looked like she could hook up her ipod to it also. Anyone know anything about this at all? We were in TS last Nov and requesting it again. If these are new clocks with sound machines and ipod hookups, is there any chance these are already in TS, as it has not been remodeled yet as the rooms had in the pics Safetymom posted? That would be great if there was a sound machine already there and I didn't have to bring one! Those rooms are always so loud with the quiet!:upsidedow

We're staying at CBR Oct 26 to Nov 4!

Does anyone have any experience taking the Disney bus from CBR to AK for an 8am breakfast ADR at Tusker House??? The park isn't opening until 9am the day we are going and I'm trying to figure out if we should take the bus or our rental car to make it to breakfast on time. Do you know when the first breakfast bus leaves CBR??

Thanks!

There are buses running as early as 6:45 or 7:00 am, but they don't run as frequently as they do through most of the day. We've never had any problem getting to an 8:00 ADR at any of the parks.

It was anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes including wait time for us.

We will be at CBR Nov 22-28. Will the weather allow us to swim during that time period? We are in the process of making our shirts just want to know so we can make t-shirts or long sleeve t-shirts.

The limit is actually whatever you have available on the credit card - but they give you up to $1000, if you reach it they will charge the card that amount and you get to keep charging (as long as the card works, of course).

One suggestion I like to add, is if you know you will reach that amount (such as times when one card is put on multiple rooms), you can stop by the front desk (or conceirge at OPR) to go ahead and charge the amount - that way you avoid the time when you are standing in line with food that is getting cold and you are in a hurry but have to wait for the cashier to call the front desk to re-up your spending limit.

Just a suggestion to make it easier for you to plan accordingly.
