Whew! Thanks. I know we can get from MK (sorry, I don't know the full name of the Transportation main hub) but I know we can get from there to AKL. Made me nervous for a minute!

Are there any pirate rooms or nemo rooms already finished and available for booking right away? I know I read that the totally refurb of rooms wont be done for a while but I wasnt sure if a few were finished yet?

The nemo rooms so far are in Building 24 which is a preferred location costing extra nightly. They are currently working on building 25. The new rooms are requests only so you may not get a Nemo room.

I don't think work has started on the Pirate rooms yet.

Are the regular rooms being refreshed? Or are they still a little dated?

Pics of the new refurbished rooms are over on Deb's site.
When they redid WL a few years back you could buy the old stuff from Disney. Do you think that will be the case with CBR's old stuff????

Limited room service, from Blue Runner Pizza and Meal Delivery, offers pizza and beverages. Delivery hours are from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM

My family is going in April. I'm concerned about construction noise. My two little guys will take naps in the afternoon. I've booked a preferred location.

Does anyone know about how long the refurb will be going on?

I haven't stayed at CBR and am soooo excited! Thanks for the info!

By the looks at the current construction, the preferred area will be completed by April. Howevere, I'm not sure if there will be any new construction starting by then!

The pool is suppose to be done by mid-Sept. The room refurbs are ongoing and, as they do an entire building at a time, shouldn't affect anyone's stay. They rooms should be done rather quick, as the new pirate rooms, which have not even been started, are available to book starting in 2009.

You are on the borderline of the anticipated construction completion. BUT - Disney is still showing construction completion arround September 15th.

The most latest pictures I have seen (August 1st) shows the pool area.

I know safetymom has been to the resort in the past weeks. I'm not sure how noisy the construction has been.

Most of the construction is done with the pool. They were cleaning and sealing the pool deck over the weekend but the main construction is done. All the photos of the updates of the pool construction are in the first post on this FAQ.

Other than the pool refurb and the changeover over to the Nemo and Pirate rooms there will be no construction at CBR.

My next April it should all be done.

The only rooms that are being changed to Nemo are the preferred rooms right? So nothing is being refurbished in a standard room right? What is the best location to request being close to the main pool as a standard room?

No the standard rooms are being redone to Nemo also. They just started in the preferred room.
