There will be about six inches of water around the water bucket. The children will get wet from the slides, water bucket and nozzles built into the structure.

Just checked some 2009 rates online. The new pirate rooms will have a higher price. Same price for standard pirate room as for other rooms with a kingbed/preffered location or waterview and a dubble surcharge for pirate room with waterview.

We have booked Land and Sea Disney cruise for Dec /09. We want to be by the main pool and in a Pirate room. We have two boys who will be 13 years old and beyond Nemo. Is this possible? I need to tell the Dreams Unlimited Travel Agent....

So there will now be six room categories with three different prices:

Price Tier 1 (Cheapest)
Standard view

Price Tier 2
Water View
King Bed
Preferred Room
Pirate - Standard View

Price Tier 3 (Most Expensive)
Pirate - Water View

No King Bed, Pirate Rooms!!!!

Yes, I found that out and that will be ok as my son just got a mobility scooter and he'll love it!

However, they will not let you book a Pirate room at this time. I tried the website and it rejected my request, so I called. The CM I talked to said they all got a memo this Am telling them that even though the rates are available for the new rooms, they are not quite ready to take reservations for these. She said the memo indicated that they want to make sure the final completion dates for the refurb are set so they don't take any reservations before they will be done as not to upset anyones plans.

UPDATE!!! I tried again for a pirate room online and it let met get to the CC# info area. Found that odd, called again and was told the same thing. I pushed the issue by telling them how far I got in the reservation process on the website. CM put me on hold to call someone. She came back and I got a pirate room! My DS is so excited.

It is official, and I would imagine it's why the construction has gone to weekends as well. But as I said, these things can change..

I was able to get prices for the pirate themed rooms. The standard pirate view room was approximately $28.00 more than a standard view room.

I have a question I should have figured out sooner. We've got Donald's Safari Breakfast booked at 8:05 AM on our AKL day. I read on another thread that the Disney busses don't start running until 8:00? I figured if they let you book that early, they had a way for you to get there. Will we be able to get to our reservations on time from CBR?

Your instinct is correct. There are early buses to help you make it to even the earliest ADRs at the theme parks. For example, buses to Magic Kingdom start running at about 6:15 or 6:30 a.m.
