That would be great, they had said only Tuesday in the Moms panel post so I didnt call since that doesnt work for me. Sunday would be great!

Well I hope it's still on Sunday's too. I rearranged my schedule to work it into Sunday since we arrive on a Wed and leave on a Tues. . .

This is what I read on AllEars -

"Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure - For children ages 4-10 (must be potty trained) -- young adventurers, wearing pirate bandannas, will board a boat to sail the Ports of the Caribbean, just like Captain Jack! They will be told the story of Old Port Royale and of the pirates that used to sail the waters. They will find props and signs leading to treasure. Once they recover the treasure, they will sail to Fort Cay and trade for some grub (lunch). When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and bounty will be shared by all. As of 1/14/07, operates Sundays, as well as Tuesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. $28.17 per child pus tax. Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables, Gummy Bears, Gold Fish Treats, and Apple Juice Box. Call 407-WDW-DINE for information on the resort marina at 407-934-2850."

Guess I will find out tomorrow when I call for my ADR's I will ask!

Just found this info listed on the DIS -

"Island of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise - Caribbean Beach Resort Dock on Tuesdays. The two hour voyage begins at 9:30am."

I'll let you know what I find out when I call tomorrow!

I hope the rumor that the pirate themed rooms will become suites is true. I would more choices with my family of 5.

Thanks Safetymom for the pictures!!!

We will be arriving at the CBR this time next month for our first time, and will be staying for two weeks. I might have a go at e-mailing the CBR for location request (possibly Jamaica?) and to check whether I need to book the pirate cruise for my DD who is nearly 7. Has anyone ever had success with e-mails rather than phone calls?

We are from England by the way.

It almost looks like that buket on top of the playground will tip water. Will that be inside the pool area?

I was told this morning that the Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure Cruise is on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday! :goodvibes Oh, and the ages are 4-12.

Friday will be awesome for us, Thanks!

I wish we would be there when the pool opens but it gives us another excuse to go back!

Yes - That bucket will spill gallons of water on the children in that area. Its a really nice additon to the new pool area!

Cool! We may have to book again at the CBR! We just got back from POFQ and really loved it! I think that CBR is a bit large for us. We felt more comfortable at POFQ.

do you have to pre book the pirate party before you arrive or is there usually places available?

Also how do I make sure I get a room in Jamaica when I arrive with my family next month?

Thanks

anyone think the pool construction could be done early? we're taking a trip there from sept 7-13 and I would love love love if the new pool was open. what do you think? any chance?

This has been asked a few times before, including by myself and the reply given is Disney nromally complete projects early but schedule in time for problems such as a lots of rain and other things like this.

There is always a chance for anything.

I have read reports that the pool construction is ahead of schedule. But as of now, nobody knows!

I think if the pools not open before you arrive, it would be open by the time you leave! Your family should be able to experience at least one day at the new pool!

I just booked mine 180 days in advance. You have to book it on the dining line, so I just made an ADR for it just like the restaurants!

No photos but just back from CBR. Cement is poured around the pool. It looks like it will be done on time or maybe even ahead of time.

Martinique 24 is back open and they are painting 25 and refurbing the rooms now.

SafetyMom - thanks so much for the update - it all sounds great! :thumbsup2

Just found this and think we can safely say late July or early August isnt an option but maybe mid to late August, what do you think safetymom ?

4 June 2008: Caribbean Beach Resort pool refurbishment expected to be complete earlier than scheduled

The complete refurbishment of the main pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort is apparently further ahead than expected, and may be in a position to open earlier than the scheduled September 16 2008 date. Speculation currently puts the reopening around late July to early August 2008. As always, this is subject to change, and plans should still be made around the official reopening date of September 16 2008
