The new pool goes under parts of the old pool to the left. The deep end will be where it used to be. Looking at the picture the shallow end is to the left. They are enlarging the pool house where the bathrooms were.

The steel structure I assume is going to be the new slide area. The circular area will be the kids pool.

and the answer is 8 washers, 10 dryers. I went over and checked out two laundry rooms.

Safetymom, can you see anything yet related to the hot tub, whether it will be bigger than the old one was?

Thanks for the pics and updates Safetymom! We're planning to stay at the WL next year, but mainly because we'll be going in August and wanted to use the pool....we might have to go back to CBR and check out their new pool instead!

Hi all!

I'm planning a spring break '09 trip for my son and I late March/early April.

Do you think a preferred room is worth the extra $15 per night for a 7 year old? I can't decide which is more important to me ... a preferred room close to OPR or a non-parking lot view (we won't have a car). I plan to make my room-only ressie within a few days.

I haven't stayed at CBR in 10 years and I'm looking forward to going back!

There is so much landscaping at CBR it is hard to even see the parking lot with a standard view. A water view room is not worth the money in my opinion. Since you don't have a balcony it is hard to see the water from the room. It could be quite creative with the water view or you may be overlooking a pool.

If you want to be close to the main pool or food court I would pay for the preferred location.

SafetyMOM what are the chances of the pool being open back up for 8\27 - 9\3? Also I could not find a thread about if anyone knows if they will do the Pirate's and Princess party again in Aug. and Sept.?

Hi Guys and Gals. Looking to get a few bits of food for my room, mainly cereals for breakfast and mybe a few bits for lunches back at the room so wanted to know if there is anything like spoons, bowls and cups in the rooms and if not where can we get these cheaply ? Same question for Air Conditioning as well, if not can you hire one ? Dont really tend to spend much time in the room but when we do these would be an advantage. Will we need A/C for the night time as i have read it will be hot at night at the end of August ? Thanks in advance.

I can answer the A/C question, they have A/C near the window and it keeps the room very comfortably cool. I can't answer the question about the spoons, bowls and such, maybe someone else can. Sorry.

No spoons, bowls in the room. Why not toss some in your luggage? There is foam cups in the room that they will replace as needed. There is a/c in the room and ceiling fans. You will be quite comfortable.

The pool looks like it is coming along... I think it's scheduled to open mid-September. Maybe you will luck out & have it open when you're there.

I know that MNSSHP is starting earlier this year & has a few early September dates.

I have mentioned several times in this thread that I am sure they have extra time built into the schedule. It depends on the weather this summer when the pool might open. I have no idea if they are going to offer more Pirate and Princess parties. I would think if they were going to do it they would be selling the tickets now.

So it is not Central Air at CBR ??? If it is a window unit, is it noisy & ugly?? Some big unit sticking out of the window ???? AND Does it do the job ???

It's not a window unit, it's a unit similar to those in many other hotels. It is wide and flat and is below the window, against the wall. It's not obtrusive or ugly at all. Like I said, it's like units at many many other hotels, and it works great.
