Can anyone give me an idea how long it takes to get from CBR to the parks using Disneys buses? mainly DHS since it looks so close.

It took us 11 minutes from the time we sat down on the bus (in Jamaica), made our way around the resort and pulled into the bus stop at Hollywood Studios. Epcot was just 10 minutes. I don't remember exactly what the times were for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom but it wasn't too terribly long.

We've stayed at CBR 3 times and just booked our 4th stay there - we've always depended on the buses and have never been disappointed! There's a bus stop at every village, so you'll be close to a bus stop no matter where you stay. To be close to the Main Pool and Bus Stop, try Martinique 26 -- just as close to the Main pool, but a little closer to a bus stop.... however, no matter where you are, you won't be far from a bus stop.

As for the Custom House, you only use that to check in and check out, so most people don't have much need to be close to it.

i stayed at cbr last year with a knee injury. i reserved a room with a roll in shower as it was difficult and painful to lift my leg over the tub. i also rented an evc from an outside company for my whole stay. that way i could enjoy th e parks with my family without any pain or hassle.

they put me in martinique 26 right next to the main building , pool, transportation and food court. if you booked through a travel agent please have them call 407-939-7670. with this number either you or a travel agent can place guaranteed room requests due to a medical condition or temporary /permanent disability. through this line you can request first floor (no stairs) and state on the reservation that you need to be as close to the main building as possible. if you have any questions feel free to pm me as i would be more than happy to help! have a wonderful vacation. you will really like cbr as we all did !!!

the transportation there was great. we waited no longer than 10 minutes to go anywhere. i hope my post helps you in some way !

The RAC is located in the Custom House. We just used it for SWA last Thurs. Sad day when you have to leave Disney World!

You can see the higher Illumination fireworks from Old Port Royale and several of the CBR beaches.

Once the bus makes it's internal stops and leaves the resort it takes: 3 minutes to get to DHS, 5 to Epcot, 9 to DTD, and 11 to MK and AK.

The amount of time you spend on the bus prior to it leaving the resort will just depend on which stop the bus started at and which stop you got on at. I would allow for about 7-10 minutes for the bus to make all the stops.

Which building in Jamaica looks out onto the quiet pool?
By looking at the map I am thinking Building 44 and 43..which one would be better?

Both buildings have some rooms facing/overlooking the quiet pool. But those rooms would be considered "water-view". So you can not request that if you have a standard room reservation.

We will be staying at CBR on our next trip and I am wondering if we should rent a boat, sailboat, Sea Raycer, etc. there or is there a better place? I'm thinking maybe the Poly would be better??? Is the "lake" bigger over there? I love to take pictures, so that is a consideration for me as well. Would there be better photo ops near MK? Any opinions?

All will be great. Depends on what you want in your pictures. Do you want the resort you are staying in or someplace else. It is a large lake at CBR so all depends on what you want in the background

You can rent several types of watercraft from the CBR marina. We've rented the sea raycers before and had fun even though they don't go very fast. It's a nice way to see the resort. We've also rented surrey bikes from the marina and had a great time on those as well.

I have never seen anyone with their own bicycles at the CBR, just the ones rented from the marina.

I do have a waterview booked,I had stayed in a Jamaica building a few years back that when I walked out my door I was looking directly at the quiet pool...unfortunately I can not remember the building # and would love to request this building again.

Any idea if this would be building 43 or 44?
