We were in Jamaica 41 which was a great location. Too bad we didn't get to meet each other.

We were in Jamaica 41 (4110) from June 3 till today, June 10. We very much enjoyed this resort and are so glad we stayed here. We enjoyed our walks to OPR. We saw so many turtles, bunnies, ducklings, etc. Our room was cleaned nicely everyday and the cast members that we met were very helpful. We only had to wait a long time for a bus twice, I think. The food court was okay. We liked some items better than others but never lacked for something to eat. Our dds really enjoyed the pools we swam in. All in all an awesome trip!!

Only 18 days to go until we leave for CBR! Just wanted to double check one little detail - is the main reception at Customs House? And is it easy enough to walk there, considering the resort is quite large?

Once you check in, there is a lobby concierge in Old Port Royale for any issues you may have. You would only have to visit the Customs House on check in and out.

Have all the rooms been refurbed with the new bedspreads and the flat screen tvs? Or has it only been certain villages?

We are looking to stay here for a long weekend (hubby and I ) in a king sized bedroom. The pics and everything are gorgeous, I cannot wait!

Great thanks!!! Which village would you recommend? Long walks to the food court don't bother me. I just want something nice and peaceful. I was thinking Aruba?

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the room. Many prefer Jamaica or Aruba.

Tonight I just booked our stay for CBR in Sept!

Can't wait to read thru this thread and find out about all of the new updates as our last stay at CBR was in 2004.

Just back from CBR on Sat. this was our first time here. We were in Aruba building 55, room 5503 & 5504. We loved this location. Quick walk to bus stop, quiet pool, and Port Royale. We had a great time. My kids loved the pools. We spent a lot of time here this trip as it was really HOT. The food court was ok. My kids loved getting their meals in sand pails. I had to carry a bag of them on the plane because I had no room for them in our luggage. We ate at Shutters one night as the kids didn't want to leave the resort for dinner. It was not bad. I had the chicken, plantains, and baked potato. The chicken needed more flavoring. I saw a lot of people get the pasta dish (I wish I had). I had the Tres Leche for dessert and really liked it. We waited for buses a lot more here then the other resorts we have stayed at. My kids asked next time to stay somewhere else because the buses were such an issue. I think it would have been fine if there were not so many internal stops. They were also doing road construction by the resort which slowed things down (not resorts fault). We are very laid back so we didn't get upset when it took 30 min's to get a bus we just decided we would like to try a monorail resort or one in the Epcot area. If we were just going to stay at the resort for a few days and not go to the parks we would stay here again because it felt like an inclusive resort in the tropics. My kids also loved all of the ducks, bunnies, turtles, and fish they saw. They could have done without all of the birds. My son left a bag of unopened chips on the table while we were swimming and a crow swooped down and took the whole bag, opened it up, and ate them. He was so mad at that crow, but it was so funny to see.

Hi all,

I've seen some pictures of the new TV stands with the flat screens on them, and in some, it looks like there's a panel in the front of the stand itself with plugs for a laptop or DVD player?

Am I seeing something that isn't there, or can someone confirm this for me? I know my sister would be interested in bringing a DVD player or laptop down to have some movies available for nap time or bedtime with her little ones.

We just got back on Saturday 6/12/10 and it was really beautiful at CBR. We loved the Port Royale pool. Slides were great for everyone. We were in Martinique bldg 21 1st first just like I requested. Not perfered but right next to perferred. I think we were actually closer than 1 bldg of perferred. Even though we liked it we will probably not stay there again. I did not like having to walk to pool and food court. It was more convienent at POP with food court and pool right by bus stop every morning and night. Resort is very spread out. Our quiet pool was very close but we liked the big pool of course more especially my son. We liked the beach areas but hardly no one was every there playing or lounging on them. The bus stops were also conveinent but there are SOOOOOO many of them. It seemed like it took forever just to get out of resort area. Depending on the way the driver went we were usually the 1st on or off so we always got seats so that was good. But we are used to hopping on bus and going to park. Food court was tasty and had normal CS food items. Gift shop was great. With that being said CBR is not for us. Beautiful... and glad we tried it but POP again next year for us.

Alos.. we did get a note in our room to watch out for black bears since a few had been sited around the resort!

I waited to long to make up my mind which moderate I wanted. I wanted POR. Called today and the only thing for my 10 day stay in a moderate was CBR. So that is where we are staying for the first time.

I came to post this and it was a bit funny that the CBR thread was the first one. Maybe this is a sign.

Hi Kelly! Funny that you were the one who answered my question last night about keeping our ressie at CBR! Let me say this, you will LOVE it there! I've been to POR many times and am very familiar with it. To me, it doesn't compare to CBR! You will love the new pool too! How exciting!
