Hi all...
Great pictures! Thanks - makes us really extra excited for our trip!! One quick question that I don't think has been asked. Does the resort store sell soy milk? We are planning to eat breakfast in our room most mornings and our youngest dd normally only uses soy for her cereal. Thanks!! :)

If I recall correctly, they don't have soy milk in the "store," but they do have it in the quick service food area.

Does anyone know which stop is first for MK?
We want to make sure we get on the first bus and get there for RD.

We had requested Jamaica but will walk to another stop to make sure we get a spot on the first bus.

I'm not sure which is the first bus stop, but we never had any trouble getting on to a MK bus from Jamaica. Travel time (via bus) to MK from Jamaica was about 20 minutes. The return trip was about 25 minutes.

Epcot was sketchy b/c Jamaica seems to be the first stop in CBR. In the morning that's great, but if you're headed over there in the afternoon, the bus will be full of people returning. So you'll cram on there and the bus will get lighter as it makes its rounds.

Jamaica to Epcot = 25 minutes. Return was 10.
Jamaica to DHS = 20 minutes. Return was 15.
Jamaica to DTD/Mkt = 15 minutes.
Jamaica to Animal Kingdom = 25 minutes

Oh, those travel times make me feel better!! Why when making an ADR, they say to allow 1.5 hours to get there? If we have an 8:40am appt at BBB in MK, what time should we be leaving CBR, 7:30? What time do the buses start running?

Well, let me make sure I'm clear about this. The travel times I quoted are only the time you're sitting in the bus. You've still got to figure in time to wait on the bus to arrive, which could be 0 minutes if it's sitting there up to 20 or 30 minutes. Then you've got to figure in the time to get from where the bus lets you off to where your final destination is, which could be another 15 minutes of walking / bag check / entry line.

The wait time for a bus getting out of MK after the fireworks... I don't know - an hour? It can get pretty ugly in that bus line. :scared1:

If you want to be at BBB at 8:40, you probably ought to be at the bus stop between 7:45 and 8. I tried to allocate an hour of travel time prior to all our ADRs. Sometimes we were fine. Sometimes we were spectacularly late (Jamaica to Biergarten in Epcot really did take 1.5 hours).

If you're just headed into the parks, 45 minutes is probably good. Disney's transportation can't be beat for convenience, but you're not going to get anywhere in a hurry.

If we are staying in a standard room, not preferred, are there recommended rooms for location/buses etc?

I searched a little bit in the thread (but I will admit..I did not read ALL of it).

looks great! We will request the nemo theme in CBR! Oh! I forgot what building has Nemo theme!

I was wondering what time we should leave the park to get to our reservation at Chef Mickey. The reservation is for 8:15. Its the night of our first day there so we will be at magic kingdom before that. Also how do we get to that hotel from magic kingdom?

To get from the MK to the Contemporary where Chef Mickey's is you can either walk or take the monorail.

Hi
so all the rooms look like the one above? That room looks awesome I found this room tour on youtube and the room looks kind of small, there is no curtain but a door where the bathroom is?

Yes, all the rooms except for the Trinidad South village - which is POTC themed rooms, look like the pictures just posted. I have never seen a room with a door into the sink/closet area. . . And that was the old theme/decor of the rooms in that video, before the 2008/2009 refurb. . . As far as I know all the rooms have a curtain to divide the beds from the bathroom sink/closet area. And then there is a door to go into the actual bathroom - toilet/tub.

All the rooms at CBR are 340 sq ft.

The closest standard rooms to OPR are Aruba 51, Jamaica 45, and Martinique 22. But as far as being close to a bus stop - each village has one, so every building is close to one.

Im sure this has been asked loads of times but there is alot of posts to sift through, what order do the busses drop off/ pick up resort guests? thanks!

Some buses start in Jamaica, then go - Aruba - Barbados - Martinique - OPR - T. North - T. South - the out. . .

Others start in Martinique, then go - OPR - T. North - T. South - Jamaica - Aruba - Barbados - the out. . .

Some people say that certain buses take certain routes, but we found no rhyme or reason to it the last time we were there. On all of our trips, except for one (DHS), the buses apparently had started in Martinique. Because we got on at Aruba, the bus then went to Barbados and then left the resort.

:goodvibes

Walking is only about 15 minutes from the front of the park. It's also the first stop on the resort monorail.

We just decided today to head to Disney on May 1. My SIL is graduating from University of Florida and since we'll be so close we just HAVE to go. We normally stay in the cabins at FW but for a change we're going to stay at CBR. We're getting a pirate room so I'm wondering how far of a walk it is to get to Caribbean Cay and OPR? Thanks!

Also, someone recently asked this question and I didn't see a response. Do the fridges in the room have small freezers?

All the fridges I've seen do not have a freezer, sorry. But you could get lucky. The walk from South Trinidad to OPR some have said is about 5 to 7 minutes depending on the speed of your pace. Have a great trip.
