Anyone have any ideas on what time I should expect to arrive at CBR using the Magical Express? Our flight lands at 9:50AM.

We have dinner reservations at the Hollywood Brown Derby at 4:00 that night but we want to go to a waterpark first. Not sure if we will have time, it depends on how long it takes to get to the resort.

Thanks

if your flight arrives at 9:50 you probably will get to the ME area around 10. You will probably have to wait at least 30 mins or so before your ME bus leaves for the resort. Say it takes about an hour to get to your resort (depending on which stop you are) and another 30 mins to get checked in and to your room to change etc. you are looking at at least 12:00 then another 30 mins to get to the waterpark (depending on bus service) I would say absolute best case scenario you are at the waterpark at 12:30...probably more like 1pm.

That doesn't give you much time considering you would need to get from the WP to DHS by 3:30 so you have enough time to get into the park.

You are probably only looking at 2 hours at the water park if you are lucky. I would go to DHS directly from your resort since you will need to use that park ticket anyway get into the park for dinner and save the waterpark for a day when you can split a full day.

Thanks for the advice. I called and tried to move back our dinner reservation but there is nothing available later that includes the Fantasmic package. We will probably just go straight to Hollywood Studios and skip the water park.

Thanks again.

no problem. It seems like arriving at 9:50 would give you plenty of time until you start breaking things down. I personally always seem to forget how long the wait for the ME bu and the actual drive to the resorts are.

Glad I could help, have a great trip!

Especially when there is such a nice pool at CBR!! I would take those 2 hours and unpack, relax, and go to the pool with the kids. Have fun!!

I agree! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip, mkacar24! :cool1:

Thanks! We aren't going until April 11th, I forgot to put that in my last post. Chances are our luggage won't be getting to CBR at the same time we do so I think unpacking or even relaxing in the room is not going to happen. I don't think they typically have rooms ready that early right?

That won't stop us from jumping in the resort pool though. I've already signed the boys up for the Pirate cruise from CBR but is there anything else available that maybe they could do on arrival day before we go to DHS?

We're arriving April 12:banana: around 9:30am
You are about 24 hours ahead of us:wizard:

I find that trying to go to multiple places eats up alot of time with transportation. How about just going early to H.S. and catching some attractions?

When we arrive Monday I'm figuring our room won't be ready, but we'll check in & go to Magic Kingdom after we arrive. Probably will be an early night for us since we're getting up at 3am.

We are leaving home Friday May 28th at 10:30am. That will put us in WDW at 10pm May 28th. I booked Country Inn LBV for $79 with tax and a free b/f for that night because our ressie at CBR starts Saturday May 29. One night with tax at POP is $94 and an additional night at CBR would be $145ish. If we want to spend an additional $70 to stay at CBR and not have to move, do you think our chances of getting a good preferred room are not as good at 10pm vs 10am the next day?

WWYD?

thanks

Are you booking/paying for a preferred room? If so, I would think you would get a preferred room whether you check in at 10pm or 10am.
Since check in time is mid afternoon even if you checked in at 10am they would not give you your room until it is ready. Could be ready at 10am or could be as late as 3pm :confused3
Sorry...not much help

We drive and usually arrive late and we always debate staying that first night off sight. So far we always just check in to our hotel on arrival. We can get a good night sleep and get up and go rather than wasting time the next morning moving and checking in. This is one time that I really think the convienence is worth the extra money. We have always been given our building request at CSR. We are thinking about trying CBR this year.

Me too! We have stayed at CBR 3 times and we are currently booked for our 4th and all of those have been Preferred. To me, its just easier to not have to worry about it. We've stayed at No. Trinidad #33, Martinique #25 & 26. We like Martinique better, but that's just a preference for me, I like the blue buildings. But other than that, that's the only difference we've seen. I can't wait to get back, less than 6 months now!!!!

Thanks for the advice..if DH's overtime check allows for it, i will go ahead and book CBR for that arrival night also.:dance3:

We always stay in Aruba because that's the first village we stayed at and we just keep going back there. After a long day in the parks and we're just too tired to think, we just sit on the bus and get up when we hear "...next stop Aruba!":)
