If DHS opens for 9am on Star Wars Weekend and i want to leave for 7:30am, will the busses be running by then?

thanks

They should be!

This is probably on here somewhere, but I'll ask anyway. I was looking at the resort map on wdwinfo.com and it hard to tell....can you walk from CBR to the world showcase? We've booked a preferred room for late Nov thru early Dec. Don't really want to walk more than we have to, but sometimes it might be faster than waiting for a bus. Let me know if anyone's done this and about how long it takes.

Thanks!

It is walkable, I guess. I haven't done it, and probably wouldn't. But there have been many threads on this, and apparently it is possible. It has been debated as to whether there is a sidewalk the entire way or not. :confused3 My take on it is that if it was meant to be walked then Disney would advertise it that way. Like they do with the Contemporary to the MK. And the YC/BC/BWI to Epcot. I would think it would be faster to take a bus. Once the bus leaves CBR it is a short 5 minutes ride to Epcot!

The first page lists preferred rooms at $15/night...I think it is actually $25/night. At least it looks to be that way when I price it out at Disney's website.

$25/night * 2 rooms * 11 nights = $550 + tax. Ouch. I don't think that is going to be a good option for us.

With a double stroller, single stroller a 4 month old, 24 month old and 5 yr old, we'll want to request connecting rooms, first floor, and close as we can to OPR as possible. How likely to do you think it will be to get a good location during the last week of Sept/first few days of Oct?

Looking to try CBR for our 2nd trip. We did CSR last Sept. We really liked it, but are interested in trying CBR because of the pools and food court.

another question - from where on resort grounds can you see Illuminations? We will have 3 little ones and are not likely to be staying out late enough for Illuminations (plus I hate the crowds / crowded buses after it is over).

We've watched the higher Illuminations fireworks from Old Port Royale and the Martinique beach. Oh, and I think I remember watching them from the Jamaica beach.

Hey Swiss.

It's a beautiful but a bit of a walk. They have a with-in resort shuttle, but we just drove up.(it was cold)

They crowds were medium to medium-high. It was doable w/ patience!;)

My kids loved the room. They were a little loud playing "pirates" for a long while!
I hope you really enjoy your stay!

Thank you! I thought DS8 would get a kick out of the pirate theme.

Our DD is down there now working as a CP cast member, and she said yesterday was very, very busy...and very different from last week. I guess spring break has officially started. We're taking DS out of school--our spring break isn't until April 12! I was hoping yesterday's busyness was just a fluke! We'll have fun anyway, though, and we're so excited!

We're heading down on April 12th CBR
Didn't realize it was school break... Our school break is the week after.
What area has school break on April 12th?

I know you are trying to save some $ by not having to pay out for a preferred room.... Unfortunately they will not guarantee rooms so requests are only requests. Instead of requesting say a room in a specific building I would request a couple of them. I think Jamaica isn't too bad too (#45). I would think Disney would try their best but you do have other requests that they would also be trying to fulfill such as connecting rooms & 1st floor.

The last week in Sept. I would think would be busier than the rest of Sept. because of the Food & Wine festival starting up. & I would think you may want to list your requests in order of importance.. first requests would be:
-connecting rooms
-1st floor
-then if they can find something close to OPR.
Here is some pixie dust for you:wizard:

I am a little concerned about the walk, are there certain buildings you should ask for? We did not book a prefered, did that at AS Movies and it wasnt worth it.

CBR is the only place you can book preferred that will get you close to the pool/food court. I stayed at POR before and hated the walking everywhere. I specifically booked it at CBR to avoid that happening. If you are worried about all the walking it may be something to consider.

From the furthest point in Trinidad South you are looking at a 6-7 minute walk. It really doesn't feel that long because there is so much to look at.

My mom and dad were at MK yesterday (Tuesday), and said there was hardly anyonme there at all. They had no longer than 10 minutes top to wait for anything, including Space Mountain. They are going to Epcot today

We stayed in Barbados last month and it only took 5 minutes to walk to OPR. I was pleasantly surprised after reading all of the complaints about the "long walks" at CBR. :confused3

Hi,

We just got back from our trip to the CBR last week and although it was a bit cooler than we would have liked (especially the second half of the week) we had a great trip.

As far as crowds go we were in the parks from 2/20-2/26 and Thursday at the Studios was the only day that I would consider to be packed. The other days were typical light crowds in the a.m. pick up in the afternoon then taper off at night.

We were crazy enough to drive from N.H. and I would actually make the drive again...just not any time soon!

Thank you everyone for posting your beautiful pictures. We decided last night to upgrade from Pop to CBR and are so excited!! :)
