Boarding the plane in just over 12 hours!!! I'll be sure to come back with a full review and try my best to get lots of pictures!!!

The one and only hot tub is located in the main pool area. Yes, it can get crowded at times.

Aren't there 2 hot tubs now? When we were there in January one was being called a cool spa because the heater wasn't working. But I have since heard that they are both properly working hot tubs now. One is by the pool and the other is behind the new pool slide structure.

Ummm. Here's a question....

We are staying at CBR in 15 days. I don't understand why people keep mentioning having to go by the custom house to check out. I've always had express check out at the value resorts and don't even need to go by the front desk. Is CBR different for some reason or do some people have a need to personally check out when I may not?

TIA!

We never go by the Custom House to check out. We never have a credit card on our account/KTTWC and we still have no need to go by the Custom House. And anything else we need can be taken care of at the Concierge Desk in OPR. So I'm not sure why people don't like the Custom House being seperate or need to go there to check out either. :confused3 I guess like CleveRocks said, some people don't know they don't have to go there.

I can't wait for you to see CBR also Jeany! Hope you have a great time! thanks! WDWisOurHappyPlace

I don't think so at all. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I can't seem to find any good pictures of the new pirate area but the couple I do see the slides seem rather short. More for toddlers. But I guess there is the main pool slide as well!

Is there an enclosed winding slide on the pirate ship? Kind of looks like it from the picture I saw.

Can you do airline check-in at OPR? Print boarding passes, etc? :confused3 If so, I didn't know this.

You can do online check in and print your boarding passes at OPR. We did this. But we were flying with SW and couldn't check our luggage anyway. If you want to check your luggage ahead of time then I believe you would have to go to the Custom House.

Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) exists only at the Custom House. That exact process isn;t something that can be done at the guest services desk inside the Old Port Royale complex.

Just checking into the thread. I have read through the first 11 pages so I have a ways to go. :goodvibes

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread. I am learning a lot about our new resort (had to change today from BLT, if you want to know why, see the PTR in my signature). We are very excited about our change and can't wait to experience the resort for ourselves.

Now back to reading. :surfweb:

I can't possibly read it all, but this is a great thread. Our trip starts Jan 4, so I have a question. Probably more later... My family (me, DH, DD6, DD2, DD1) are going with my parents. We have asked that our reservations be connected or whatever. My mom recently broke her femur (running a marathon) and is still using a walker. I'm not sure what she'll be doing by then, but I'm sure she won't be 100%. I've been battling plantar fasciitis for the past 6 months or so. I've been doing everything I can (podiatrist, sports doctor, chiropractor, orthotics, stretches, etc) and now I'm in a walking boot (soft cast thing) for the next few weeks trying to get my stupid foot to heal so I don't die at Disney.

So, my longwinded question is, what should we say when we request locations? I don't care about stairs and I don't care (too much) how close we'll be to the main building because we're planning breakfast in our rooms. My mom really shouldn't do stairs. If she mentions her injury do you think they'll have compassion and give her a 1st floor room? I guess my main request should be near a bus stop and my mom's should be 1st floor?

I'm so excited for this trip. We've been planning it since my DD6 was 1 and I have refused to cut my 2 year old's hair until we get there. We really can't cancel this trip, she looks awful! :rotfl: I hope my mom and I can walk! Ugh.

Call them and ask to have a request added to your reservation and then have them add: 'first floor requested due to medical necessity: can't climb stairs.' There is still no guarantee, but it might help.
