We ate there in March. I had the striploin steak and baked potato... to DIE for! Hubby had ribs. They were good, but the sauce was "meh". It was kind of spicy. We're used to a sweet sauce on our ribs. They were nice and tender, too. I'd eat there again most definitely.

Thanks so much:thumbsup2. I think we will give it a try.

I will try to stay in the nemo theme in Trinidad at CBR! I love nemo! I will requested it on January 2010!

My first trip to CBR is getting closer!!!! Can't wait! I'm trying to finish up my adr wishlist, as my booking window opens up on Weds. Can you guys suggest some of the best choices convenient to CBR using Disney Tranport? Of course I'll have to try Shutters, but where else would be super easy to get to for dinner after the kids nap in the pm? We will try farther places on some nights, but I'm looking for some that don't take too much travel and walking also. Thanks!

:welcome:

Please keep on mind that the rooms really aren't Nemo themed. There are some small touches of Nemo, but it's not strong like a theme. The only Nemo touches in the room is that there are small Nemo characters on the bedspreads and on the wallpaper border along the top of the room ... that's it.

ALL of the rooms in CBR have been refurbished recently. One of the 6 villages was redone in a Pirate theme that costs extra per night and must be specifically booked, reserved, and paid for that way. ALL of the other rooms have the slight Nemo touches.

My first time staying at CBR this July 13-20, in the Pirates room! anybody here stayed in them yet? Ive seen pics, but Id like to hear an experience, pref. a positive one lol.

I have pictures of the Nemo themed rooms in my trip report. The link is below. The theme isn't over the top but it's a nice touch.

I would think that it'd be pretty easy traveling to any of the restaurants in the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge. All you'd have to do it take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to the monrail or boat (to Wilderness Lodge).

Downtown Disney is easy to get to as well. Just take a bus to Downtown Disney. Sometimes, it may take a while to get a bus back to the CBR as it seems like the Downtown Disney buses (to any resort) take a while to run.

Booked it--9/19-9/27!!! Can't wait for our first stay at CBR!:cool1:

Congrats!

There are some pictures posted over on the CBR resort picture thread.

I just have to say it's 22 days until my trip to the CBR and I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!

C/P as requested:

Did I mention we loved it. Seriously...loved it.
LOVED it.

We were in Aruba 51 which was a great bldg b/c we could get off the bus on the way home at one of three stops - Old Port Royale & walk across the bridge to our building OR Jamaica or Aruba. All three were about equal in distance to our building, which was great after a long day at the parks as the busses would go different ways depending on how they entered the resort. We only had a few minor bus issues like the day two Epcot busses came back to back followed by two DHS busses back to back while we still waited for the MK bus. But mostly we never waited more than about 10 minutes for a bus and many times they came within 5. Rarely crowded, despite crazy crowds IN the parks.

And the resort was AWWWWWWESOME! Seriously fantastic. The pool - oh man we had a lot of fun on the two slides & in the kiddie area.

So...yeah, I'm in love. We'll likely stay there again on our next trip in 3 years. Sadly my 2 year old didn't really have a lot of fun so I now know why 3 & under are free. LOL! So we're going to wait until she's 5 (which was my son's age & he had a BLAST!) and he's 8. Three years?? How can I wait that long???

How is the bus system at CBR. I know they don't share with any other resort but since the resort is so big is it hard to get on the bus when the park closes and opens. I know that is the biggest travel time but in the past we have had to wait 45 min to an hour because the bus lines were so packed we would have to wait till the 3 or 4th bus came to get on. Will this be the same problem at CBR.
Also, does anybody have a list of which order of building the bus picks up and drops off?
